Talking to some Chinese gals. They won't sell less than 25 tons of it. That's like 55,000 pounds I think. They want $1,060 a ton, which is cheap as hell, it sells for WAY more money here in the states. But that is over $25k, I don't want to cough up that much money. Anybody want to come in...

Running into a bit of delay shipping some stuff I want to ship overseas. Just curious - what does an international cargo ship cost? One that can cross the Pacific. Not looking for exact numbers, just a guesstimate. I just want to see how much it would cost more/less to do an end run around...

Your first stop should be to a lawyer's office to make a will. Just in case.

It's actually better to establish a living revocable trust so you skip probate on many things.

The grantor is his/her own trustee while he/she lives. Then when she dies, the named substitute trustee can take over.

This, in my experience, is true. My in-laws had one and both died in the same year. When the 2nd one died we sent the court a copy of the trust and a copy of the death certificate. Then we divvied up the assets as directed in the trust. The heirs got the money, and the lawyers got zero.
