What seems to escape you is that you can buy this card and still be financially responsible. SHOCKER!
The funny part is how every single person on this thread is like the guy buying the $1000 Titan in the sense that the whole "I can't afford a Titan" thing is a #firstworldproblem.
If it weren't for me, my gf would never have paid what I paid for my 7970s, for instance (~$400).
There are people out there who are like "$400 for a video card? HELLLLL NO, I will buy the $100 one."
And then there are those who are like "I won't even buy the $100 one, give me the integrated graphics."'
But even that integrated graphics guy is probably better off than 95% of the world's population.
Some people's pain thresholds are different than others. If you don't want to buy Titan at $1000, vote with your wallet. Simple as that.
What I find hilarious is how Oilfield was saying Titan's prime buyers are people making $30k/year or less. OMG, Titan is like subprime mortgages and credit cards aimed at the poor. Who would have thought? Lol.
Let's be real, most people making $30k/year don't even know what Titan is, and if they do video game at all it's on ancient PCs or (more likely) consoles, or phones. NV is not targeting those people. NV is not Countrywide or Goldman Sachs or whatever. If anything, NV is trying to be more like Apple.
