I figured the 1000mhz was bs for a chip this big, I'd also heard it was going to be 832mhz prior to that.

I'm a bit dissapointed if this is true, I have to confess. That would make Titan only 45% faster than the GTX680. Not really worthy of this moniker imo. They could at least turbo up to 950MHz and set the max TDP at 280W or so.

Depends on the O/C'ing ability. I'd feel better about that though if it had 2x8pins. Not too long to wait to find out now.

Even with those specs I would not be surprised if real world usage is already close to 300W.

What would interest me is
1. how "real" the TDP is. Does it include memory usage of all 6GB?
2. if the answer to 1. is yes: Would the turbo act more aggressively in cases where not all of the 6GB are used.

And yes, of course OC is important.

Hm, the GTX680 maintains its TDP quite well due to the power control circuitry of the turbo. I would expect the same from Titan.

I don't think it will be like a GTX 480 :) It is almost double the size of GK104 though and not like GK104 in being a lean gaming chip. What is GTX 680 TDP anyways, I don't even know ?

800mhz was what I had expected given the big size of the chip,.

It is named after the supercomputer it powers....not the other way around.

Let's see some reviews, and if there is any competition for it....

Maybe you're just miffed that you missed out on making easy money. ():)

And maybe some of us would rather make our money the honest way, instead of doing something that by all reports contributes to multiple criminal enterprises ;)

That if it doesn't get ROP starved just like Tahiti's. Pixel fillrate will be only 25% better than GTX680 (at least if architecture is unchanged).

Not that I know of. But by now we know everything, don't we? Configuration, clocks, memory amount, TDP, price (900-1000ish).

Fermi jokes are little out of order here.
Because almost double size of GK104, with 25-30% underclock pretty much guarantees green-like TDP.
I am thinking something like (2 x 120W) +- d = 240W +- d.

So if we are talking perf/W, Titan will be one lean gaming chip.
Even more so than GTX 680 or HD 7870

Was 480 king of the perf/W hill? In positive sense...

Because Titan will be. Fermi was perf/W bottom feeder if I remember correctly
