New round of Geforce GTX 1050 Ti leaks:

- Reference card is ~21 cm and doesn't require an extra 6-pin power connector
- Custom cards will include 6-pin
- Specifications: GP107-400, 768 SPs, 64 TMUs, 32 ROPs, base frequency 1354 MHz, turbo frequency 1468 MHz, 128-bit 4 GB GDDR5
- Frequencies range from 1354 MHz all the way to 1797 MHz

Pricing is definitely a concern. The GTX 950 launched @ $160, slightly more for the 4GB version.

I'm still waiting for RX-460 4GB prices to come down.

I think it's pretty much guaranteed to be pinless, although there might be AIB versions with a 6 pin to allow a higher power/performance limit.

Last rumors I heard put this for December, guess the RX 460 launch has brought it forward?

The more than likely specs: 5 SM's (half of GP106), with 32 ROPs (1/3 less than GP106), no PCIe connector.

Since the bus width isn't cut in half and GP106 already has a higher bandwidth / throughput ratio than GP104, the vram will likely run somewhere between 6 and 7ghz (slower than the 8ghz GP106 has). At 6ghz, it'll be exactly half the bandwidth of GP106, so I'm speculating / guessing it'll be 6-6.6ghz to save a small amount inTDP, and putting that savings towards clocking the chip higher. In the end, I think it'll end up between 55-60% the speed of GTX 1060, making it about 5-10% faster than the GTX 960, and 20-25% faster than RX 460. I'm going with $159 for the 4gb version, and $129 for the 2gb version.

I suppose, but with a Pascal clock it would easily beat the 950, while using a lot less power.
but looking at the rest of the line, 1060, 1070 and 1080 all had more SPs than the last gen + high clocks, but at the same time the 750 was not replaced and continued to be sold during the Maxwell 2 days, so if this 1050 is aiming more at replacing the 750 than the 950, it could have the same or less.

Hey, I'm just hoping they make a low-profile version right out of the gates. Heck, they'd be smart to engineer it as such and ship with standard + LP brackets in the box like so many cards already do.

Can anybody speculate as to how this may translate to a laptop part?

Since it's probably unlikely we'll get the 1060 in ultrabooks (I'm guessing 14"+ like the razor blade), then this 1050 could be a discrete gpu in a 12~13 slim ultrabook, which is very attractive for light gaming on the go. At half the performance of a 1060, you're still looking at viable gaming on medium details at 1080p.

Great for when you're in that hotel for a few day and want to play something, but didn't want to take your thick and heavy 15-incher.

The most important thing is that Pascal GPUs have Feature Set H hardware decoder which supports 8K HEVC Main10/Main12(not sure if Main12 is working, need a future driver release probably or need a newer DXVA Checker that supports Main12 querying properly) hardware decoding & VP9 hardware decoding, GP107 will replace GM107 as the HTPC card of choice for many people because it doesn't need external PCIe power connector, making upgrades easy.

They won't price it $20-30 less than the GTX 1050 3gb for 40% less performance. $160 is 20% cheaper and $20 more than the RX 460. That is what I think it'll be priced at.

Nope.. is replacing 950. We need to wait if nVIDIA launchs a GT 1040 in order to see a competitor against the comparable opponent. And also the 1040 could replace the GTX 750Ti
