You guys tip on pick-up??? 😕
WOW no wonder why ATOT gets pissed when people say they don't want to tip for bad service here cus it seems like you guys just give away your money and tip for everything.
well, according to a recent ATOT poll, nearly every ATOT poster is a highly successful engineer, making 200k+ right out of college, with plenty of hookers and blow to throw around...

This. It's not like he bought hookers with the wings.
But what if he bought hookers with wings?

Aimster don't listen to them. they are wrong. Go and confront the guy. Bitch about how he spent a extra $5 he was not authorized to take. DEMAND that 5 back. you will get it. make sure he knows its not the money but the fact he did something he was not allowed to do. be loud so everyone knows not to trust him with CC or anything.
i think this is the best course of action.

depending on how quick and friendly they are, i usually tip about 10%. although i wouldn't tip using a friends/coworkers credit card...
if it's takeout, why bother tipping at all?
They still have to take time to pack/prepare it.
I don't tip nearly as much as for sitdown service I just tip a couple of bucks when I do take out. Especially if I'm getting a bunch of stuff for a bunch of people.

wait. wtf?
you give him CC.
he gives you cash.
so HE is paying?
why didn't he just pay with his own cash in the first place?
lol
I take it you've never done this? Either of you?
Here's what happens. Person 1 doesnt have cash but persons 2,3,and 4 do. All 3 other people give cash to person 1 and he/she puts the entire purchase on his/her card. Now person 1 has cash AND the bill is paid for.
I don't tip for pickup orders. I'm paying for the food and as a part of the food purchase it is the restaurant's job to place it into whatever container allows it to get to my choice of eating location (if that is part of their restaurant setup). When I tip in a restaurant it's because the person has picked up after me, gone to get me drinks, carried my food to me - obviously not in that particular order.
Is guy wrong in charging extra on your card? YES
Are you over reacting by wanting to approach this person over 5 bucks? YES
Just drop it. If you work with this person for a long period of time or you go out drinking with this person on the same tab typically 5 bucks goes back and forth often.

4 of us at work decided to get wings for a party. I was busy at work and I didn't have any cash on me to go pick up the wings so I gave my credit card to a co-worker to go get the wings and he gave me the cash.
(I am not responsible for any unauthorized charges so it's not a big deal.)
Anyways I find out today he decided to tip the people $5 and he never told me. $5 tip for picking up wings for carryout.. wtf?
Would you bring this up? I think that's a pretty a-hole move on his part. I'm thinking I should just let it go and take it as a lesson learned.

The $5 wouldn't bother me as much as the incomprehensible stupidity of tipping for takeout.

How do you it not the wings people that tacked the tip on there with his authorization?

under circumstances like this you should not be in the position to possess a card much less hand it to someone else

Not everyone lives paycheck to paycheck and if you are you'd have to be the biggest dumbfuck on the planet to hand your debit card over to someone to pay for take out knowing you only have exactly the amount of the check to cover it.
i forgot, everyone in ATOT is a self made millionaire by 21... making $150k + out of college
