My gas tank was beyond empty this morning. I went to the nearest station, which, unfortunately, is not the cheapest in our area. I put in my CC and started pumping. The pump stopped at exactly $75.00 and would go no further.
I stepped into the mini-mart and asked the guy behind the counter if the pump stops at $75.00. He said it did. He did not know why other than it was "from the company".
The guy behind me in the big pickup (with the double rear wheels) probably got cut off, too, I would assume if he was anywhere near empty.
Maybe they need to lower their prices so people can get a full tank 😉
Anyone else face this?
BTW, this was in Los Angeles.

04-18-08 UPDATE:
I just used the same CC at a different gas station (1/2 mile away from the previous one) to buy $81.55 in gas.
So, it appears that the limit is not imposed by my CC.
