saw it on Tuesday...thought it was awesome, and the soundtrack is right on the money too...Didn't like how some of better shot scenes (tap dancing) were shown in the previews...but I guess that happens a lot nowadays

I had high expectations and was disappointed in the movie somewhat.

It was as if the movie kept flirting with greatness but, kept holding on to trying to a be a romantic comedy to hard.

Needless to say, I wasn't expecting all the romantic comedy jazz walking in.

I guess I should have been better prepared.

The music in the movie was great though
I'll watch it again on video....and maybe it will come across better.

Saw it yesterday and I pretty much agree with everything you said. I sure liked his motorcycle though. That thing would be a blast to ride.

oh man. i read this post way too late. hahaha. surprisingly i got it from j and r music for 9 bucks

I haven't seen the movie, yet. But the soundtrack is EXCELLENT! I especially love the tunes by Cary Brothers "Blue Eyes" and Colin Hay "I Just Don't Think I Can Get Over You."

By the way, Kansas is the armpit of the US. I used to live in NJ (Maywood), and it is a lovely place. Try taking the back roads next time and actually seeing the rest of it besides Newark.

There must be something wrong with me but I didnt like the movie. My girlfriend and I went to see this movie on Sunday and all I could say was that it was interesting.... By no means is it one of the best movies I have ever seen.... My grilfriend agreed, we both thought it was interesting but not great by any means.

its a great film. especially a first movie. i hope he continues to work on the stronger elements and leaves behind the weaker ones.

I saw this movie with little to no expectations whatsoever, and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought that the acting and directing were great all around. Highly recommended.

this movie was very well done. MEGADEATH, you and your girlfriend should stick with the American Pie moives. The pace was perfect and so waas the character development. The chraracters were also intresting and different from one another. You were also able to get to know them, I hate movies where the characters are 2 dimensional. NO it was not not T3 or I ROBOT, but it was a fantasitc story that lulled you in and gave a you sense of understanding, that...people are just people, each have problems, hangups, bizarre behavior etc all over the place. Natalie Portman was right no with her character. It was not over the edge, and its minimalist approach to life and the human condition made it lifelike.

TWO BIG THUMBS UP!

Saw it last night. Really great. Very likable characters, a couple of big laughs (knight-stare wakeup scene), and a satisfying plot. Weird to see the actor who played Bilbo in a normal role. Also, I would love to be an abyss guardian.

8.7/10

EDIT: the movie reminded me of the feeling I got when I watched "Life as a House" - another awesome flick.

This movie was so boring! Every time it would fade to black I was hoping it was over. I would rather have watched an episode of Scrubs instead. Boy, what a waste of my time and money.

I like the movie. Some good humors. The soundtrack is very good. sells great on amazon. I want to get the Frou Frou album "details" (the theme song "let go" is from that album). Too bad allofmp3 doesn't have it yet.

I hadn't heard anything about this movie aside from hype on forums i visit, so i finally decided to watch it...& wow!

I must admit it is certainly up there as one of the best movies i've seen 😀

Just something about it that was so perfectly done.

To be honest, when i saw him going to the plane, i was like "NO FVCKING WAY" 🙁 (just cause of how the first scene is)

...just so beautiful.

And, for those that do not have Frou Frou's album, for god's sake, get it; it's so good! 😀

just wanted to say that i just watched this movie....great movie.
i wouldnt say that its the BEST MOVIE EVER...but def a THUMBS UP!
the guy from scrubs + natalie portman = great characters...
movie gave me a nice feeling inside...the fuzzy wuzzy kind 😉
