Garbage Can Full of Water Prank

water on the floor, wahhhhhhh

I'm not going to repeat myself, so here's my previous post.

Yep. Pranks aren't cool if they can cause damage, and while spilling a glass of water is harmless - spilling 30+ gallons of water is asking for problems - even with carpeting, that much water is likely to soak into a large area of the padding, and spread onto a large area of the floorboards underneath.
If there's tile, that water will just spread out - so if it's a large, large area of tile (and not just like 6sqft at the entry), then it's just a nuisance and pain in the ass to wipe it all up.

So, if you know the person, and know the floor is all tile... it's a decent prank.

So again, if you know the person has tile flooring for the entire room that the door opens into, then sure... that just results in wiping up a lot of water, and thus is *most likely* harmless.
Anything other than tile flooring, that could spell serious problems. Letting that much water soak into the floorboards is typically not great, and I guarantee if it's carpeting - that is finding the floorboards. Even with treated wood flooring, there's a very real possibility of wood damage if there is that much water.

A trash can of water is very different from a spilled glass of water.

Shit, I think I just repeated myself even after quoting myself.
Fuck it, it's done already.

water on the floor, wahhhhhhh

Well of course it's not going to seem like a big deal when your mom just cleans it up. Once you own something of value you'll realize what a dick move it truly is. Unless this guy did something awful to somebody else that we didn't know about, this was over the line.

Definitely this. Stupid fuckers.

See comment above (specifically - "Stupid fuckers").

do you even have water in kentucky? garbage cans? definitely not real houses, I know that for sure

It's water on a fucking floor. you guys are taking this way too seriously "well, well it can cause damage!??!@!!! don't you care about the wood floor, do you have a house!!! your mom cleans it up!@@@!"

guy looked like a prick, hes lucky this was all that happened. its a prank, its not supposed to be fun and harmless. could have been much worse. If you clean it up quickly enough I'm sure your precious floor will be fine...

Looks like a decent house in an affluent neighborhood. If the guy's rich then who cares? He'll pay someone to get it cleaned up and life will go on. He needs to get over himself.

You apparently don't know shit - again, see my previous remarks: i.e. stupid fucker (point driven home even more by your last post).

Lame. I don't think I've ever found a single 'prank' posted here to be funny, most of them are just stupid and/or obnoxious.

KT

bunch of tight asses you guys are. this was hilarious. and it was pretty obvious the guy was a crazy asshole, which is why the kids did it in the first place.

That could easily cause $10,000 damage. You don't know much about mold remediation that gets into carpet pad, sheetrock, studs and insulation. Uncool no matter how you slice it. Asshole? How old are you? Can't be too old if this is how you deal with millions of assholes and are still free and living.

If you think this is a harmless prank you're either a complete dumbass or a fucked up little spitwad. If I went and sledgehammered your car then filmed your reaction it would probably be pretty fucking funny too. It's the same fucking thing.

lol when you get your own place you will understand why we say its lame.

Maybe the guy deserved it, I don't know if there's any back story here. Either way though this prank is old, so even if the dude who answered the door's a child molester. A prank that's been done a million times is still uber lame.

The guy "looked like a prick?" You don't know the man. I'm pretty damn sure if you were him, you would be standing there looking pretty pissed off too. He probably yelled at one of the kids once. But thousands of dollars worth of property damage isn't the same thing. You sound like some little prick who doesn't own anything of value, or hasn't put a hard day's work into anything yourself.

BTW "pranks" by definition are not anonymous, eventually you out yourself after everyone is done laughing. Generally harmless. This was criminal destruction of property.

You know what I don't get about this thread?
That it took you guys this long to realize that slayer202 is an ignorant tool.

Before this thread, I don't even I've ever paid attention. :\

And after his first post in this thread, I immediately realized it - I just didn't think to blatantly call attention to it... guess we all went the roundabout way. 😀
