lol Glad it's not just me. Occasionally I look in and see something recognizable - and usually amazingly stupid. Often I don't really know if it's the pro-GamerGate or anti-GamerGate crowd, which is fine since I don't. Politics has of course conditioned me to accept that anything with "gate" on its end is a scandal (you should see me when they want to fumigate the building) but in general it's a mishmash. Both sides make an occasional valid point amongst a LOT of screaming and pouting.

What you've suggested applies much more to black Americans feeling personally-hurt from slavery 200 years ago, or active feminists (and their professors) feeling personally-hurt from events that are greatly exaggerated or never existed at all. [insert fake rape stats or pay gap myth here]

What's you've done is projection on a level of complete reversal -- everything femi-SJW's are guilty of is being blamed on GG to absolve themselves and tarnish the 'enemy'.

AMD has had green as a prominent color and the logo (the actual shape next to the letters "AMD") is very often green.

ATI is on the same page and they are prominently red

I think the ooroo guy is posting decent stuff. Sjws calling Stephen hawking a misogynist? Tons of journalists being hypocrites. This is where I get all my GG news, so it works pretty well for me. It adds a neat gaming flavor to the woman hate. Over on /r/theredpill video games are frowned upon. And /r/fatpeoplehate isn't gender biased, plus it got banned earlier this month and had to move to a different site. This thread has some value.

Is it bad that I also came to check it out after the show aired? Although, one thing did stick out like a sore thumb during that segment: the harassment statistic infographic. It was the one that was something like less than 1% of men and more than 90% of women are sexually harassed online. What I thought was interesting was that the segment was on online harassment, but the graphic specifically spelled out "sexual harassment". The idea seemed to be to show a disparaging gap in the treatment of women online, but what it just did was marginalize any other form of harassment.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I care enough to actually look up non-specific harassment statistics, but given my long tenure on the Internet, I'd be willing to bet that they're quite a bit closer. Anyway, I wonder if this goes back to how we tend to stereotype the sexes. At least in my experience, men are usually expected to be tougher. We aren't supposed to worry as much or be as emotional. Do we tend to ignore unkind things said toward men because it's "okay"? In turn, does our focus on harassment against women relate to our nature to protect women?

Oh, and just because people love to read way too far into anything said on the Internet, which is really the root of a lot of problems, I should probably say that I am in no way condoning harassment in any kind against anyone.
