I assumed he did it because Tyrion saved Lady Stark a few episodes ago .

Bronn is a merc who was at the inn when Catelyn arrested Tyrion; he had no prior connection to the Starks. He escorted her with Tyrion because she had promised to reward the folks that came with her, but along the way to the Eyrie Bronn developed some respect for Tyrion and realizes that Tyrion will reward him handsomely if he fights for him.

Both the crowning scene and the moment of Ned's revelation were fantastically done. Let's hear some non-reader reaction to that episode.

Also, anyone who does manage to watch ep7 on HBO GO, if you comment make sure to use spoiler tags as the majority probably still won't see it until next week.

EDIT: Also forgot, the Tyrion confessing scene was hilarious.

EDIT2: My only complaint was the wolves getting cut out of the Bran scene, that was unfortunate. The direwolves get the short end of the stick in this adaptation.

I liked how Bronn was smiling in the background while everyone else was acting all outraged. :D

And the scene where Daenerys was eating the heart was pretty well done. Even though she was probably eating a creampuff of something, she very successfully passed it off as being the nastiest thing ever.

And of course, Sean Bean is just eating up his role as Lord Stark. Every scene with him is fantastic.

Agreed that we definitely need to see more direwolves.

Is this thing going to get any more exciting? I feel like each episode since the first has gotten a little more dull and Days Of Our Medieval Lives. I understand the source material is an epic (if unfinished) saga, but, IMO, the show is just so boring to non-readers.
Nor reader here and I have to disagree. I am thoroughly captivated by the story. I end up wanting more at the end of each episode!

I think the story is intriguing too. Maybe it's just my ADD that's making it hard to follow all the details.

Ahh okay... it's hard to follow these secondary characters at times :\.

Ned's revelation was interesting.
It looks to me like he's put it together that the "boy prince" is the incestuous son of the queen and her brother, the dandy.

He can't as readily jump to the conclusion of incest, really the only thing he could conclude is that Joffrey is not a true son and thus heir of the King, which is why the previous Hand was looking into the King's bastards and wound up dead for it.

Entirely possible, but given what we've seen so far, (although whether Eddard knows or not is another question) I suspect that my theory is correct...but since I've never read the books, I could be wr...wro...wrrrr.....not fucking correct.

I thought the last episode was Episode 6? Episode 7 doesn't air until 29 May.

it just seems to be moving soooo slowly, and in a million different directions.
Funny, to me it seems like it's going way too fast, then again I've read the books.

As for it going in a million different directions, you haven't seen anything yet :D
