what would be harder is if you had no access to google.
it's easy if you can find a sign, poster, building name, etc.
The questions ranch from very easy (road signs) to very difficult (only landscape with no cars). It's really a luck of the draw.
I had one that had a roadsign indicating that it is on a tiny Taiwanese island, and was only 13 km off - 5,500 points just for that one question.
But then I lost major points on landscape ones so total score was only 13,300
Look at plants and the land. If you get huge open flat plains you can point at the middle of the US and get over 2000 points almost every time. If you see mountains and pine trees then you can pretty much guess the western part of North America. Canada throws me off sometimes since I'll guess one side but it'll be the other but you'll still get a lot of points. Red soil in a desert environment with eucalyptus trees? Australia. Jungles? Pretty much going to be Central America or Brazil. Anything in Europe is going to give you 2000 points almost every time. Obviously a sign will give it away or if you see that they're on the wrong side of the road.
You can follow the road essentially for as long as you'd like - so get to hunting down those road signs versus hoping one just lands on the starting point. 😉
Try the link that is in this thread. Usually the BBC is pretty on the ball, not sure why they are acting like this is something new and not a direct copy of http://www.geoguessr.com/ only made smaller and spammed with links all over the page.
Ok 20K is not happening without cheating. Not a chance lol
I look for signs and companies and then google for geographical clues.
