Game: How well do you know the world? Can you crack 10,000?

First try. 10,970.

I was surprised at how close I got to all of them lol.

9.5k second round. I saw "No Parking" on the ground and figured it was somewhere in the US but it was Australia and lost a ton of points.

18,616 first try. Most were in the US and Europe so easy to figure out.

In Europe I got stupid close (immediately knew both places), and the US within a state or so. Only one I was way off. It stuck me on a beach between a surf shop and a tree and I couldn't move at all...so I just threw in a quick Hawaii guess. It was some random tropical island in the Atlantic.

8846 but I was robbed for one. Was put on an outdoor trail with no view of any signs, trees or anything. The only hint was that I was surrounded by a lot of rocks. Couldn't move from that spot either, only could look around.

Tried it a few more times, can't beat my score, but I usually get between 12-16k.
Actually I almost beat it, I was up to 15k but last question I made a stupid mistake and didn't listen to my instincts. I knew it was CO, why did I click PA?!

CRAZY: In the UK, it refuses to work and says ...

BBC Travel (international version)
We're sorry but this site is not accessible from the UK as it is part of our international service and is not funded by the licence fee. It is run commercially by BBC Worldwide, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BBC, the profits made from it go back to BBC programme-makers to help fund great new BBC programmes. You can find out more about BBC Worldwide and its digital activities at www.bbcworldwide.com.

If you are looking for travel news in the UK, please visit the Travel News site.

As I know nothing about computers, I can't supply a link that works in the UK.

I have NO idea how to defeat it in the UK, so this link does NOT exist (Joke)

EDIT: Sorry, I have poorly described the situation.
The original (OP) link, does NOT work in the UK.
But the 2nd link that I supplied above DOES work in the UK, as it gets round the BBC location blocks.
I did not make it clear enough, as I was trying to make a joke about it.

Accidently clicked out of the game on the 5th location, but had about 9K by then.

You can usually find a business or something that tells you where you are located. In one, there was a business truck. While the license plate was blurred the business name and town on the side of the truck was not.

Now, they did get me once. I was in the middle of what looked like a Danish amusement area. It had a building called Odense House. Easy enough - Odense, Denmark...Nope, it was a replica sitting in Japan. lol.
