I'm 32 and I live in PA. I grew up in NJ. My views have been formed by my experiences, not what I see on TV. I went to a "diverse" school in a pretty bad town so my feelings towards these people aren't due to lack of experience with them.

Now what about you- how old are you and where do you live?

In conclusion, you lack the intellectual depth to understand what I said that they're all inter-related. Real life is more complicated than a simple 1+1=2. Politics and agendas come into play and unfortunately for most people they cannot imagine evils behind them nor do they want to know. Life is simpler not knowing, and I guess this includes you.

And yes, when I volunteer at the homeless shelter, they are all very thankful.

Again, reading comprehension for the loss. I mentioned that not only do I volunteer but I live in the city with the highest % of subsidized housing. I'm not afraid to get mugged/raped/etc. Again, you're wrong.

Maybe, you need to stop reading the paper and watching the news. The real world isn't that scary.

Frankly, I don't believe a word you're saying about not being afraid in the city. So you will as willingly take a stroll out in the city late at night as you will in an all upperclass suburban neighborhood?

Watch the news? Now I know how you got brainwashed because the TV news does not reflect reality. It's a translated feel-better version. But even then, the nightly news shows horrific crimes committed every night.
