Fry's is coming to Atlanta! (actually it is here now)

It's at Gwinnett Place Mall between the Sears side of the mall and the Nissan dealership across the street. You can see it from the highway .

Actually there is already plans to open a store in Florida after the Atlanta store opens. Indianapolis, also.

I stopped by there today. There were a bunch of guys in CC shirts filling out job apps lol. They still have the front windows covered in cardboard so I could not see inside. There were about 6 large trucks on the side at the loading docks. Lots of people coming/going. Tentative opening date is Sep-4.

I was by there today. I caught some of the employees lunching at a nearby pizza place. They said that the Grand Opening is next week, but there may be scheduled 'soft' openings even this weekend. They also said that the grand opening would have good deals (but didn't say what!)

My question would be, what day should I buy the paper to get what is on sale on Friday? I doubt they would have anything in tomorrow's (8/22) paper. I just don't want to miss out on something hot and don't want to drive up there and be in a zoo for nothing hot. Anyone have any ideas? Might it be the Thursday paper that usually has the Best Buy mid week ad? I just want to be ready for this one. Been waiting a while for Fry's after seeing all the hot deals they seem to have.

lol, yeah, the Bay Area is full of Fry's. Down here in San Jose they have 4 Fry's stores within about 5 miles of my house. This always comes in handy when they say: "Limit 1 per customer", and you want more than 1. )))))

Was this in the Saturday AJC? The Sunday addition has no reference to the Fry's grand opening. Unless
I completely missed it. I ran a search on their site, but found nothing on it.

Just got back from Fry's, a mere seven miles from my house in Duluth. Dear Lord... I just didn't expect it to be so HUGE!! Today was a "soft opening," so there really weren't any sales. They are having a really big weekend sale starting Friday, but they couldn't say what would be on sale. So, I guess I'll find out at 9am Friday. Guess I'll be late to work...

I just got an e-mail from my friend. Yes the "soft" opening was Monday. They will be open today but the grand opening is Friday through Sunday.

I just ran down to the gas station in anticipation of planning my Friday morning. Damn if this anticipation isn't like Black Friday. I took a look at today's AJC and there are no ad inserts included. Is this one of the full page ones or is it an insert that maybe the gas station does not have? I just want to know what's going to be on sale already. LOL!
