Yes, I would politely decline. It's hard to enjoy something that you didn't earn for yourself. I'd much rather find an inexpensive car and fix it up myself. Of course, it would be strange for my parents to buy me anything at my age. :D

Exactly. I would never be able to accept something that expensive from my parents. I would feel like I'm stealing from them or something. The only time I would ever take any money from my parents would be if it was a loan that I would be able to pay back very quickly.

I've lived on my own and supported my self entirely since I was 18. I've never asked them for money and I've never been unable to provide for myself. I do not intend to revert and give up everything I've worked for. :)

Its a simple concept. Some people much prefer to purchase with their own hard earned money than asking/begging/bitching/etc to their parents for a new car, regardless on how wealthy their parents are.

No, but I'd sure as hell start learning the business that let them get that much cash :D

I guess he will end up not paying theif coverage again...

well, I drive integra as well.. but mine is a LS.. I am still paying it tho.. not like that spoiled kid asking her mom for a new car. some of my friend are pissed and jealous (me too) that idiot got a new car when his gsr got stolen (that kid has hella attidute because of having a rich parent, his brother is totally different tho..)

what is wrong with him getting a new car if parents can afford it. I am allmost 22 and i am getting new car from my parents in couple of weeks. So what is wrong with being spoiled?

Nothing, but it doesn't do anything positive for you in terms of the lessons of life. My father could afford to buy me a 540 but instead chose to buy me a 92' civic DX four years ago. still kicking, and I've learned the value of a car.

Good post. I like it.

You're 22 and you're not supporting yourself? Are you going to grad school or something?

If my parents offered me a BMW 745 or whatever (like they could afford it), no way in hell would I accept it. If I NEEDed a car (like to get to work) and I couldn't afford one on my own, I'd let them buy me a POS. And I'd at least try to pay them for it.

Eh, my parents are making me work for every dime of my car.

But you know what? I don't mind that much, because it will be THAT much more satisfying to pull up beside spoiled brats like this and smoke with with my Turbo II RX-7 that I paid for all by myself.

u are funny. So u would reather work and get turbo instead of your parents get u bmw 745i fully loaded if they could afford it.

It's the pride of actually working to own something. You'd have to do it to understand.

You're 22 and your parents are buying you a car? That's sad.

If my parents offered me a new car, i'll take it in a heartbeat. I'd rather use the money for something else... like investment in my own business, or payoff my student loan.
