I ain't sure if my friend's brother got theift insurance on the new rsx-s.. but even his mom bought him this new car.. he still has to pay for insurance... for a 17 yr old high school kid.. he got a quote of 3000 a year for one way or 5000 a year for two way.. I guess he will end up not paying theif coverage again...

well, I drive integra as well.. but mine is a LS.. I am still paying it tho.. not like that spoiled kid asking her mom for a new car. some of my friend are pissed and jealous (me too) that idiot got a new car when his gsr got stolen (that kid has hella attidute because of having a rich parent, his brother is totally different tho..)

what is wrong with him getting a new car if parents can afford it. I am allmost 22 and i am getting new car from my parents in couple of weeks. So what is wrong with being spoiled?

Eh, my parents are making me work for every dime of my car.

But you know what? I don't mind that much, because it will be THAT much more satisfying to pull up beside spoiled brats like this and smoke with with my Turbo II RX-7 that I paid for all by myself.

Sorry to disappoint you, but yes. Maybe I'm just crazy like that. I might as well learn things like this at this age, instead of learning it the hard way later.

Besides, I wouldn't be caught dead in a 745i.

My cousin is 19 and drives a 2002 BMW M3 SMG around San Francisco. I ride my bike around Santa Cruz. This also reminds me of a story about a friend of mine who's clutch broke in his Eclipse. The next day his dad brought home a brand new Celica... But I ride my bike around Santa Cruz.

I don't know but I feel somewhat embarrass to ask my parents for a new car unless they offer me one :)..
I just think it's not something very proud to say.. like I can proudly say that I bought the car with my hard earn cash rather saying like o well, my parent got me this..

Sounds like complete idiot parents who have 24K to spend on a car yet no thief insurance? I blame the moron parents. Also, the kid sounds spoiled but that isn't his fault, back to the parents :)

I don't know if he got insurance on this car or not.. but I know that his old gsr doesn't have theif coverage... because he has to pay insurance himself.. for a 17 yr kid paying like 300 - 400 a month for insurance isn't cool :)

My opinion? Who cares... I don't judge people by the car they drive. It sounds like a lot of people in here do though. *Car*: gets me from here to there, and I spend only about 2% of my time in a car *money I save by not buying the most expensive car I can afford (not even close!)*: gets me to several vacation destinations a year.

Too many people look at cars as a display of wealth... Sure, a lot of times, that's what it is. But, that doesn't make me want to go out and buy a new Acura (or BMW or whatever), just to show I can afford an Acura (and the cheapest model Acura makes). For the life of me, I can't figure out why people pay a lot for expensive brands of cars other to show off that they have the money to do so. Investing in a purchase that depreciates the way a car does is poor investing! Let them throw away their money; there are a lot more comfortable cars that are reliable and cost much less.

Both of those cars suck, even more so because he did not pay for them. I'd rather be driving around some 85 Dodge Aries that I paid for than an Acura from my parents. Lame.

wait, your from the SF bay area, that explains a lot... Does your friend live in Orinda? just a feeling. You see stuff like this all the time there.

What you get are a large group of "can't do's" that need someone to hold their hand... now your thinking, "yeah, someone will always be there"...but I'm thinking, "what if?"...and thats when it gets damn funny.
