errr...umm...wait...

Nope...still haven't gotten mine, either.

Agreed. Every day I see this thread make it to the first page again, I assume that someone has actually gotten their drive in the mail. And, like a fool, I read how they haven't gotten it yet. I say, new rule: no posting in this thread unless someone actually receives it. How's that sound?

(don't answer that --- unless you are telling us you got yours in the mail 😛 )

12 weeks and counting...must be on the slow boat from hong kong, then they will send it via mule from California to Atlanta. I don't even want to think about the time it will take from Atlanta 30 miles north to Marietta by slug...

This deal is just about receiving the damn thing really, the size doesn't even matter anymore.

i think i'd rather have a moldy orange.

I'd TOTALLY sign up for an offer that sent me a moldy orange😀

During the time since I signed up for this deal, I have fabricated myself a USB thumb drive out of sand, crude oil and aluminum cans.

And it's 32 MB too.

Stupid MS.

this so-called 'free' drive has caused me so much grief and sleepless nights, not to mention time wasted checking this forum for updates,etc... in retrospect i probably wouldnt have signed up for it.. so in retaliation im not buying vista when it comes out. 🙁 take that uncle Bill!

well for those of you that have recvd your USB drive Congratulations. I just can't believe that it took this long to for MS to send this email out to everyone who wanted to participate. Read ON:

Thank you for your interest in the Mystery Solved Windows® licensing promotion. We've received your request for more information to help clarify Microsoft® Windows Desktop Licensing pre-loaded on the USB drive. Unfortunately, this Mystery Solved promotion was available in the U.S. only and while supplies last. Supply is depleted at this time, so we encourage you to please utilize the online alternative today.

Simply download* the Windows Desktop Licensing reference files directly at:

www.microsoft.com/mysterysolved/corp

To help simplify Windows Desktop Licensing, keep these points in mind:

There are two legal ways to acquire a full Windows Desktop license: through your hardware vendor (OEM/System Builder) or Full Packaged Product.
Volume licensing covers Windows Desktop operating system upgrades only.
OEM operating system licenses live and die with each PC?they are not transferable.

Again, thank you for your interest in Mystery Solved and for helping us spread the word about proper Windows licensing.

Sincerely,
Microsoft Corporation
