are there any cancellation fees? i currently have no ld service in my apt cuz we all use cell phones or calling cards. i would do this only if i knew it would cost us nothing maybe i can just get the service, get my gcs, then cancel. is that what everyone else is doing?

Just received my Amazon $30 GC. That was fast! I just signed up yesterday.
I was supposed to take three weeks. It does expire on 12-31-02, although in CA there is no expiration for GC. It the law.

It's obviously a scam, after all, it's run by AT&T, one of the largest telephone companies out there.

If you sign up yesterday then just wait for 3-5 days before you sign up at att billing online.
I got that error also when one day after I sign up AT&T database for billing online still did not recognize me as their customer.
And after I wait for 3 days I tried again and finally I could sign up ... Now time to wait for my Amazon GC and my MC gift card.

I gave it 3-4 after signup before I tried the signup for online billing. I signed up Tuesday and received my Amazon GC the next day. Now, I am waiting for the $75 Mastercard giftcard. I received mail today from ATT and thought it was the giftcard but it was just the ATT calling card.

Ok, took about 10-15 min on the phone.

no min, no contract, no fee.

my 2nd phoneline didn't have LD service, so may as well.

For my main line I use Everdial.

Also, they asked me for ext # , but never transfered me....
I wonder if whoever is on that ext # is getting commision..
must be rich by now ;-)

So i guess i missed a good deal, which they are giving now. Do you guys know, how i can get this deal inspite of my situation?

Just a warning if you are counting on the amazon cert. for doing this deal: Not everyone will be able to signup for online billing. Unless your local phone company has a special billing arrangement with AT&T it won't work. This won't be an issue for most people who have their service through one of the Baby Bells but very possibly will be for anyone else.
