I just called these guys under their 1-800-222-0300 number. The first automated human was like "we called your regarding a gift certificate?" and then I ended up talking to an actual manager - or so they made me believe. Anyway, she said that I should have received the giftcard by now, and that she will re-issue a new one, which will take around 30 days to arrive.
And then I could tell you the tale of how they switched my International Calls as well, but never mentioned this in our conversation - only the fine print shows that long distance is not only within the US. Since I have family in Europe and Australia, my bill for the first month was just USD$ 630! Like a minute to Europe is 2$ or so. And then they call you on a Saturday morning, and tell you this. And no word about what you can do, beside the phone number of the "Slamming dept" - which is closed over the weekend. So I call on Monday, and they casually say that I can adjust my calling plan and they will apply the new rates to my previous calls, which shaved nearly 600 bucks of my bill. Did you hear that sigh of relieve? Well, their new calling rates are kind of OK. There are others which are cheaper.
So I have now cable TV,. Cable Internet, wireless and long distance with AT&T and guess how many bills I get a month? Four. When will these guys ever learn to put all of it on one web page and that is it. One stop payment? When they have computers?
Anyway, this is my story and I am sticking to it. Be afraid!
