FPS... Which one you think...

Call of Duty series. I've been a fan since its inception. Unfortunately there were a lot of crappy spin-off games throughout the series. Plus I'm a little disappointed with the recent problem of excessive nade spam in multiplayer. The game is less fast-paced than many shooters and it always has epic storytelling. These days it's not so remarkable, but when it first came out it totally curb-stomped the Medal of Honor series and it hasn't recovered since.

For multiplayer, Team Fortress 2. OMG.

Been a fan of CoD series since they first came out. The first two were the best in the series and after that they just went straight downhill. CoD 4 was a MAJOR disappointment and let's just agree to not even acknowledge WaW...

Half Life 2 + Episodic Content + Cinematic mod, imo, has the best storyline of any FPS with up to par graphics.

As for MP, I would say UT99 was the best (and probably still is), but TF2 is more modern and comes very close to UT.

Either CS or TF2 and I prefer the latter. I liked UT a lot but I lost interest in it quickly and moved on to CS.

For me the best FPS series would be Half Life. Also, love the CoD and F.E.A.R. series of games very, very much.

WHAAAAAA

The Battlefield series. Because I enjoy playing with/against other people best.

Call of Duty series for single player, I guess. And I'll agree with the previous poster, the first time I played COD4 single player, got shot all up but didn't die, and just crouched in a corner for 10 seconds and got all my health back, I lost all respect for the "new" COD. I liked the old stuff better.

Half Life series, hopefully they are working on something big.

Yeah probably a live action movie 🙂

I think the Max Payne series because there is actually a really good story, dialogue and character development which usually lack in the fps front.

COD2 had the same thing. I don't think it's any less realistic to do it that way than to have medkits scattered all over the place that can take you from the brink of death to happy and healthy in an instant. Maybe you should try focusing on other aspects of the game. Or raise the difficulty so it's not possible for you to get shot up without dying (on Veteran, it only takes 2-3 hits to kill you).

Single player was decent for both, however, I didn't really like where they went with the MP. IMO I do not like the class system with several "cheap" perks and I do not like the level design for most of the MP maps. I dunno, I'd rather play CoD2 MP over CoD4 MP any day.
