Found a book from 1719

The book is deteriorating rapidly now due to human disturbance and the acidic oil from human hand isn't doing it any good. Handle with care, wash hand & use glove.

That would be true if it was a medieval manuscript or such. It's not, it's from around 1850 or so. Yes, it's deteriorating, but not nearly as drastically as a really old manuscript would.
 
You should take the book to the next Antiques Roadshow in your area. See if you are getting shortchanged. Two jiggas sounds low for something from the early 1700s.

It's not actually from the early 1700's, it's from around 1850. The date at the begining of the book is the date the story began. And this professor has absolutely no reason to shortchange me. He didn't even offer to buy it.
 
Hold onto it until you're very old, then sell it (it'll certainly be worth much more) and put the money into an account for your grand children/great grand children's education.

Education paid for by history, ftw?

AFAIK, There are no published accounts in English.
The best I can find is that Wiki link in the OP.
 
I'll be taking the book to an auction house to have it appraised.
I just want to know how much it's worth, I'm probably not selling it unless they appraise it for a fortune.
