Yeah, I probably will. It has some value to me other than it's own value. It's probably been in the family for a while.Originally posted by: swtethan

That would be true if it was a medieval manuscript or such. It's not, it's from around 1850 or so. Yes, it's deteriorating, but not nearly as drastically as a really old manuscript would.Originally posted by: NoShangriLa
The book is deteriorating rapidly now due to human disturbance and the acidic oil from human hand isn't doing it any good. Handle with care, wash hand & use glove.Originally posted by: ThePresence

Awesome! How are you going to perserve it?![]()
No clue yet.
It's not actually from the early 1700's, it's from around 1850. The date at the begining of the book is the date the story began. And this professor has absolutely no reason to shortchange me. He didn't even offer to buy it.Originally posted by: DayLaPaul
You should take the book to the next Antiques Roadshow in your area. See if you are getting shortchanged. Two jiggas sounds low for something from the early 1700s.
AFAIK, There are no published accounts in English.Originally posted by: judasmachine
Mega Update to my last post:
Double WOW. Don't sell it, it's nice to have things that go up in value, instead of down, down, down........
BTW what is the story? is there a place I can read it? online, library, old book store? i've never heard of it.
