Man, I am realizing why I hate racing games once again...

05 Mustang - Spent HOURS tuning and tweaking and poking around under the car to fix all of it's inate problems of snap oversteer and was still a beast. Ran decent times at Sebring but nothing fantastic.

F355 Challenge - upgraded to A600 and ran SAME times. Tweaking and tuning gave me 3 or 4 seconds depending on the track. Took me like 5 minutes to do. From now on I am just gonna buy tunes off the market and save time.

Yeah, I typically use marketplace tunes. Only downside for you, being a tuner, is that you can't modify them at all.

bought tune sucks, but u can kinda cheat to get it's build by applying it to a brand new car and then removing the tune. the parts will still be there and then u can apply your own tune in it.

But there are so many ways to hit that PI that you may not have the parts you want/need, it's a bit of a gamble.

ok, when u just bought the car, it has no upgrade. buy the tune, when u apply the tune, it will ask u for money to buy the parts, do that. go in there and reset tune to default, all parts are off but when u get into upgrade screen, you will see what parts u have there. apply those parts and u get a A600 car minus the custom tune, i think it will work.

I have no problem with bought tunes. Its part of the game and it saves me some time. Sure, I can't tinker with them and set it up exactly like I want but I just don't have time like I once did to tune/test/tune/test/tune/test/tune. Hell, I even tried to make time on the Mustang and failed miserably.

Man... the NSX is so temperamental. So difficult to get it to do what you want without messing up something else. Z06 is much easier to drive/tune.

Both are extremely satisfying to drive though.

Yeah but you have little room for mods at A600 with the C6Z. And it really needs a gear box to be competitive, IMO.

I've got a couple fun little cars setup, but honestly I'm thinking the best one for this challenge may be a Porsche...

I think it's more than enough to make it competitive. I would agree with you on the gearing if the car wasn't traction limited. The tall gears help me get on the gas earlier instead of the throttle control I need for the NSX in order to keep the tires from lighting up. They're posting similar times in my hands...

I've also got a Porsche just in case Kabob starts whining about how my engine is in the wrong place :awe:

Just for that you have to drive an A600 RWD Ford Fiesta w/no tire upgrades!

I don't care where your engine is, front, midship, or rear. :awe: I mean, it NEEDS to be in the rear but if you want to handicap yourself by having it elsewhere that's fine with me :p (kidding, I'll probably run a Ferrari at least part of the time).

My apologies to you OSJ, you said you wanted to tune and I completly forgot.

Anyways, who all's ready for tonight? I should have the room ready a few mins before.

No worries, I'm just going to go with my Ferrari, I suspect. I didn't have as much time to get on as I'd have wanted, anyway.

I'm planning on being there tonight, probably not past about 10 or 10:15, though.

You say that now, you'll still be going at 11. Just watch!!

I'll be using the GT3 RS as well as the 360 CS I'm sure. Maybe another car thrown in there for good measure. Choices choices!

BTW, since you mentioned you were interested...

I should be there tonight, but I dunno for how long. Fiancées big exam is done tonight, it's been a long, stressful couple weeks, etc. Chinese food + wine + relaxation is in order for when she gets home, which will likely be some time after 9. Hopefully later! ;)

I ended up not working up a Porsche, mainly due to time & credits, but I did tune up the Spyker C8 that Forza sent me for being a LCE owner. http://www.insideline.com/spyker/c8/spyker-c8-laviolette-lm85-released-on-forza-motorsport-3.html

It is mid-A range stock, mid-engine RWD NA motor. It's pushing near 500HP now, stock weight at ~2700 lbs and is a pretty decent car!

Thanks to blowfish's transfer cable I'm moving all my data to a larger HDD right now. Unfortunately that means that all my installed games are gone, I'll try to get Forza installed so all my cars are threre and such.

Funny, with a few games installed I've about maxed out my 60GB HDD. Take those away and I'm only transferring 10GB's of data. I'm about 1/3 of the way through ATM.

Good racing guys! I was actually out front for a few laps, but as usual cocked it up before long ;) That lil' Spyker was pulling away from all those Ferrari's pretty nicely :awe:

Sorry I couldn't stay longer! Things are just hectic lately and 9pm EST is usually about when I get some downtime with my lady, so 1-2 hours after that is tough to manage.
