Yeah, it could use a bit more fine tuning. Quik tested v1 for me and I did some adjustments that seemed to help. Unfortunately my tuning abilites are fairly minor so with this build it's just about as good as I could get it. Probably should have tried a different build, but over all I was thinking it turned out ok.

Nothing wrong with it other than the understeer. That could be fixed, but I think it is a great spec car for Wed night racing.

We need to do some schedule rearranging. CrazySOB is in China for a few months. Lotheron is MIA (he's a new daddy!...I think), and blowfish sold his copy of the game :( :( :(. That's our next 3 weeks right there.

Put m0r1san in for Crazy, if sid3w8z has never choosen a car put him in for Loth and I guess move the list up a slot for blowfish (once again...:( :( :()

My suggestion:

→ 7/21 - hopeless ←
7/28 - m0r1san
8/4 - sid3w8z or move everyone up
8/11 - Kabob
8/18 - Waldo
8/27 - OSJ
9/1 - overst33r
9/8 - the4ner
9/15 - sid3w8z or move everyone up
9/22 - QuikWgn
9/29 - fbrdphreak
10/6 - famous

RWD Lambo, maybe ;)

Pfft, Lambo took the cop out and switched to an AWD SMG setup, how cheesy!!

Course, the bastardized 911 Turbos with the PDK/AWD/Turbochargers make me cry inside.

Why is AWD the new answer to everything?? What's next, Ferrari making a car only available with a F1 transmission?

...oh wait...

Tried the car out last night, it does understeer but it's surprisingly compliant otherwise. Should be a good night of racing!

So, my wife's college friend is in town this evening and my wife wants us to get dinner with her. She knows tonight is race night so her goal is to have dinner at 7 and be home by 8 (restaurant is right up the road). I get the feeling I'll be a few minutes late though...in case I don't make it in time to set up the lobby someone else prepare to set it up. Don't forget to use AnandTechGaming to invite friends of friends who aren't on your friend's list.

Running in the B-Class rooms is sad times. People have specific cars for specific tracks for specific conditions at specific times. Then they mock me when I am 4 secs behind the lead lap times. Nobody ever seemed to realize I was running the SAME car on EVERY track. Whats worse is, getting stuck in the back of the pack placed me in the middle of morons who liked to wreck people. They had faster cars than I did so even if I passed them they would catch up and wreck me. Oh the humility! Good news is, I ran into some very good racers finally last night and they just ran off and left me. One guy accidentally wrecked me coming back onto the track so he slowed down and raced me for a little while before checking out. Bad news is, I am still slow.

The good news is that you'll get faster. I remember you setting top 600 times back in FM2, you're out of practice though. Back in the day I think I beat you maybe...once every 20 races? If that even. Once you're back up to speed you'll once again be a racing madman!

It seems the steering wheel is coming in to play a little more than FM2 did. Is this the case for faster times now? Everyone seems to be very smooth on entry and exit. I am struggling with it for some reason. I didn't have the same issues in FM2 with the controller. Of course I gave my wheel to Blowfish so I cannot test it out myself and I am not running cars that I have personally tuned to my driving style. Maybe I'll do that next.

I know that the wheel works alot better in FM3 although I dunno if it's the dominant setup.

I need to try a wheel, see if it can help me be more consistent. But, I also don't have a good place to set it up.

That's the biggest issue. I had a MS wheel but sitting it in your lap sucks. You need a table or something to bolt it to, if not a racing seat.

It was good to be back. I'm clearly very out of practice but I did okay on the tracks I at least knew. Had a few bobbles here and there that cost me time but I was better than I figured I'd be after being away so long. I need to start making some money so I can afford these expensive cars!

What I was talking about last night: E46 M3 w/roof rack = fail! (no offense to Pete if he stops by, I know you need it for your bicycle but that's like putting a trailer on a Porsche...)

not sure about the wheel but i used a control freak, i feel that i have a bit more fine control with it as i dont have to press down to turn so that my finger won't slip off the stick.

Sorry I couldn't make it yesterday folks. Time was short and I'm hooked on Shadow Complex at the moment, so that's how I spent my fleeting downtime :D Looking forward to seeing what's up next week!
