I hope you guys don't mind me asking questions that may seem trivial to some but when you're playing season play in F3 is there a way to change the ARB stiffness? I read some of the DIY race tuning and it suggests stiffening the ARB's if you're pushing out of the corners. I went to the tuning section but it doesn't let me change them. However, it would let me change several other parts. Is there a way to change this outside of the season play and keep it for racing? Any other suggestions from you vetarans. I'm driving the Audi R8.

Thanks!
James

Feel free to ask away.

Most of the time to be able to make tuning adjustments you first have to buy the parts for the car that allow adjusting. Typically they are the "race" level versions that give you full tuning control. After you make adjustments and apply them that is the way it stays unless / until you make another change.

I would also suggest slowing it down a bit and finding the speed where you can get through the corner without scrubbing the front tires. THEN apply the upgraded bars. You'll want the rear stiffer than the front on the R8. Maybe start with something like 16F/19R and play with it from there. The point being to get the car through the turn without scrubbing before sways, then see how the sways make the car more neutral as you go through at the same speed.

I apologize for my ignorance but I have only done "quick upgrades" and never bought an individual part in F3 yet. I'll need to find that link and go from there. Thanks for that input although I thought I read somewhere that people were doing that I just never dug into it until now. It might be a couple months between playing times for me with my life style.

With the R8 on the Nurburgring I could hold most of the corners decent and keep the cars from passing due to the narrow roads but in the 6th championship race in New York I can't hold the circle turn and the porshes and the other computer R8 in the game smoke me around the corners, I have to go to first gear and hold the rpm's up so when I get out of it I can hold some ground and stay in 3rd or 4th place at half way through the 9 lap race, I have yet to have been able to finish after beating the poor R8 to death trying to gain ground :). It won't be until tomorrow sometime when i get a chance to look for the ARB so I'll report or ask more questions when I get on line again.

Thanks again for all the input! This game is to much fun to set around and collect dust.

Alright, with the general lack of activity I'm going to ask the question that no one wants to ask: Do we keep holding Forza 3 night or do we let it die? I want to keep going but it seems that we're down to three or so people who keep up with it, everyone else is just too busy it seems.

What do you all think? As it is it's just no fun setting everything up for a Wednesday when there's only two or three people racing.

:\ 2 is definitely not fun compared to 4-5+

I think between Mr. Viper here (welcome!), sidew8z, and the dwindling, yet usual crew, we'll probably be alright for attendance.

But it's probably fair to watch attendance. Maybe it becomes a once in a while kinda thing.

Add the GT "AnandTechGaming" to your XBL friends list. 4ner is already on there, you can find it on his friends of friends list.

Cool!

What's European? Germany, France, UK? What about Italy?

Disregard the former USSR countries and the African countries...although I think you'll be hard pressed to find a car from 'em.
