Good point - a combination of controller and Natal (sorry, I'm not feeling Kinect) could be neat. $150-200 neat? I dunno

the problem with kinect look tracking is that in real life, you would just move your head. with kinect, you have to move your head but keep looking straight ahead at the TV. it just seems very unnatural to me.

Not to change topics, but I just ordered a used 250GB drive. It comes with the data transfer cable, but not the disc. Anyone mind dropping theirs in the mail to me? I'll send it back with a few bucks attached for your trouble.

True, but the whole turning your head thing still seems gimmicky with the technology.

firebird, you might ask in the FS/FT forum about that.

Made only a few career races to build some points. That didn't last long.
Went to Le Mans, got a Saleen S7, and started to hot lap. Wasted a lot of time doing that. I get so distracted.
Tonight I will do some more career stuff.

If you need money, use the Veyron you get in your garage for the Sebring endurance race. Also the Koenigsegg for the La Sarthe endurance race.

I don't know how far along you get those cars, but endurance races are definitely a quick buck.

It exaggerates your head movement. If it's anything like pc head trackers it works very well.

Any amount of head turn while still having to keep your eyes straight is nowhere near realistic. Again, would rather have another stick or maybe the L1/L2 buttons or similar. Way to much money and time spent on this technology. At least in the racing genre.

Gotta build my car for tonight...I got Mass Effect 2 from the library yesterday and the time I was going to spend tuning a car was spent trying it out.

Yes...our library has video games...free...

Lucky bastard.

I did some quick work last night. I already had an E30 M3 tuned up from a previous race and it's pretty sweet. I worked on another car I'm blanking on, and was going to try one of the Porsche's too. If I have time I'll tweak up that Renault you mentioned Kabob.

The Renault Turbo 5 (or is it 5 Turbo...) was the best A class hotlapping car in FM2, no clue if it's even remotely decent in FM3 or at C class.

I may just break down and get a 911 RS.

Oh, the other car I worked on was the Lancia Delta Evo or whatever it's called. Little AWD tin can. It's pretty decent, though I didn't upgrade the tire compound so it's a bit loose with the added power.

Lightweight bathtub car...hrmmmmmmmm...

I'd say Regal GNX but that certainly won't hit 1600 lbs.

Yep!

I've got a few others, 930, 914, and E36M. All of which are pretty fun but not as goofy as the elan.
