I tried both yours and the most downloaded tune, both work really well. I think yours has a bit more grunt but is a little looser, the other is grippier and still quite fast. On the Ladera test track (I think that's the one) I was about a tenth faster with the other tune, but there's no real straightaways on that track. I need to give it a whirl on RA.

BTW, yesterday was a good car spotting day. On the way back from church I stopped at Wal-Mart and saw a Lamborghini Diablo VT and a Porsche 996 Carrera w/aero package (aka Poor Man's GT3) sitting next to each other, both bright yellow. Went in and came out and they were gone, drove down the road and they'd stopped at the F-1 Sports Car Center (small dealer for nicer cars) and they were browsing around. I stopped next door for lunch and walked over, saw a Mercedes SL63 AMG (never seen one before), a Porsche 996 Turbo, Maserati GranSport, lots of BMW's and other Porsches as well. Usually they have a few really nice cars inside but I didn't take a look (it was a Ferrari 599 Fiorano for a while, then a Lamborghini Murcielago, who knows now). Not bad considering the overall market for expensive cars in my area is very small.

I've never been much of a Lotus guy, it is a fun little car though.

I may have a new guy joining us tonight, maybe even two (although I highly doubt it). The one I think will be joining though is one of my Call of Duty buddies from the AVS boards. I noticed him racing on FM3 last night and invited him.

I didn't get a chance to mess with the car over the weekend. Do you remember who you bought the tune from & how much it cost?

It's the most downloaded B class Lotus Exige 240 tune and it was free. Don't know about how much the parts cost as I already owned every upgrade for the car. famous' tune is really good too, give both a whirl and see which you prefer.

Sweet, when I do another ALMS GT2 night I'll allow Lambos (and hopefully R8's) with a drivetrain swap...whenever that is.

Ok, thanks. Yeah got my fingers crossed to try to get in a little time tonight with it. I've managed to build up a few credits now after finishing season 2 in career, so maybe it won't break the bank since it's B class.

I'm thinking of trying the 40k pontiac for a career series that showed up for C class cars. It doesn't have the top spd like the benz I already bought but it has better acc. Anyone play around with it yet?

I was poking fun at your rocket cars with my HP night idea.

As for the Cayman tune I don't have it, although the idea of Porsches being involved sends a warm tingly feeling up my leg...although AWD = bastardization of the Porsche name.

I don't care how good it is...it's still a bastardization. It's like having a RWD STi...

The Porsche Cayman tune has some understeer issues. :)

I checked out the top downloaded Lotus tune. It is very good. Just remember to not trail brake. Dip the nose into the corner with the brakes and then turn. Don't brake INTO the turn or your tail will BREAK loose!

Yeah, I really liked the top tune, not bad considering it was released 2 days after the game was. I wish there were a few more options when searching for tunes/paint jobs. HP max, drive wheels, and what about release date? I mean, it's the highest download because it's been out forever, there's better tunes out there I'm sure, but they're tough to find.
