I am in except - my work schedule is in flux, my work schedule is semi random and involves day shifts of 8-4 and evenings of 2-10 so chances are I would miss a number of races. If you can fill the slots with people whose Tuesday's are guaranteed open then they would be better served.

I'm #29

Ty, I have an American flag decal that I've used several times before. It doesn't have 50 stars but if I recall correctly, it does have 13 stripes. If we want to use it, I can make it available to folks.

Yeah, but when it's "normal" plate size you can't even come close to seeing all 13, look at the old picture I posted. I'll happily try it if ya want.

Tuesday and Wednesday are my weekend so it would work for me. I had fun tonight and I'd be down, but I don't race outside the group and my Trueskill is only and 8....

Also someone never smoked any weed
-Weight Restriction of 2050-2900 lbs (932-1133 kg).
Ummm no...

2050 pounds = 929.864359 kilograms
932 kilograms = 2 054.70828 pounds
2900 pounds = 1315.41787 kilograms
1133 kilograms = 2 497.83743 pounds

It's what I copied from the other post, the pot smoker is on the FC forums!!!

Oh, and both OSJ and I have mentioned that this might be a fun "permenant teammate" series to run.

If we're low on people I've got two who might want to join, good guys.

Ok after reading through what everyone said I think it's time to lay a plan out and adjust from there.

Schedule ...

Let's move it up 1 week that way it doesn't interfere with Tax Day for me nor Memorial Day week. Just makes more sense. New schedule below.

SCHEDULE
Round 1 at Road Atlanta (2/24/09)
Round 2 at Laguna Seca (3/10/09)
Round 3 at Sebring (3/24/09)
Round 4 at Silverstone (4/7/09)
Round 5 at Maple Valley (4/21/09)
Round 6 at Road America (5/5/09)
Round 7 at Suzuka (5/19/09)
Round 8 at Sunset Infield (6/2/09)

**Race Night can change from Tuesday to Thursday to try and make sure we have all participants. Remember you can "hire" a substitute driver (perhaps hopeless?) for a week if you cannot make it**

CAR RULES

Car will begin at a level of A820 (allows for improvements and reductions based on the weighted chart). Note that a car can only go up to PI Level of A850 or down to a level of A790. Placing 1st or 8th 4 times in a row still only nets a +/- 30 PI increase/decrease.

1st Place: -15 P.I.
2nd Place: -10 P.I.
3rd Place: -5 P.I.
4th Place: +/- 0 P.I.
5th Place: +/- 0 P.I.
6th Place: +5 P.I.
7th Place: +10 P.I.
8th Place: +15 P.I.

CAR SELECTION -- I am still torn on this one. Please post your final thoughts as to what you would like. If you want to be able to choose from a group post a group(ie AWD drive, Supercars, Hatches etc etc). Just looking for your input here.

We may end up going with the same car across the board to keep it as fair as possible (of course upgrade and tune any way you want) but I also like the idea of variability.

Thanks again for your thoughts.

I think for the car choice it should be down to a choice of ~6 cars all of similar default PI, maybe 2 from each region (North America, Europe, Asia).
If we go the "choose your own car route" I'd like to have the option of changing it once (maybe at a PI penalty), just in case it doesn't work out well; having a consistently bad car that they dont enjoy driving would cause people to drop out of the series at a higher rate methinks.

Hmmm ... interesting thought. One time car swap with a 5 - 10 point penalty (not a PI penalty though).

Not a bad thought.

Sweet, then I can see myself being the first to hit negative total points...

Why don't we take some suggestions for cars from everyone, then we can narrow it down? Keep in mind that at A820 starting most of the supercars/high performance sports cars are out.

How do you guys feel about picking from this list only.

-2005 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Coupe
-2003 Dodge SRT4
-2003 Ford Focus SVT
-2006 Ford Focus ST
-2002 Acura RSX Type-S
-2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT
-2006 Saturn ION Red Line
-2005 Scion tC
-2004 Toyota Altezza RS200
-2003 Toyota Celica SS-1
-2007 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V
-2004 Honda Civic Type-R
-2002 Honda Integra Type-R
-2005 Mazda Axela Sport 235
-2004 Volkswagen Beetle
-2003 Volkswagen Bora VR6
-2006 Volkswagen Golf GTi
-2003 MINI Cooper S
-2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR
-2007 Peugeot 207 RC
-2004 Peugeot 206 RC
-2002 Saab 9-3 Aero
-2003 Hyundai Tuscani Elisa
-2003 Seat Leon Cupra R
-2004 Mazda RX-8 Mazdaspeed
-2005 Subaru Legacy B4 2.0 GT
-2007 SEAT Leon Cupra

-Renault Clio cup 197

Only restrictions I would put on it other than PI limit would be no drivetrain swap and you must install ALL FORZA Aero Parts.

Hrm, those cars were choosen because they "all held 4 adults and all were under 300 hp and 2.8 liters." You're essentially making a new WTCC series. :p

I'm all for it, although if you wanna do that I say we expand the list just slightly to include some of the cars that didn't quite make the list due to a lil more horsepower (WRX STi's have 5 more than the limit, I think the Audi S4/A4's were close, etc).

Also, I say make forza front bumper/rear spoiler the only required aero parts as not all cars have the rear bumper and it can be an undesirable part (not alot of benefit but it tends to raise your PI).

Course, now I'm just confounding the list even more.

OK I'm in...Car #24...Tuesdays are prime for me. I could do it most other nights but being on the west coast I don't get off til 5:30 and have a 20 miles commute home. i don't know the # of laps you are thinking about per race, but perhaps we could start a tad later. 30 laps @ Sunset is only about 45mins, even 30 @ Sebring is a bit over 1 hr. The car list is pretty good, but there is certainly some disparity.

I would say @ A820 the 2006 Volkswagen Golf GTi would have a distinct avg over the 2005 Subaru Legacy B4 2.0 GT. We still have a couple weeks, maybe we should test some car combo's and see how even they are. I do like the WTCC idea better than supercars though, along with as Kabob said maybe a slight Hp increase to 325-350, that way you could add some Audi's, Subaru, Mitsubishi's, while excluding the 2 seat coupes, and convertibles.

R21,p9.2-D states that drivers must be wearing pants at all times. From what I could see through those tinted windows you were definitely in violation.

I'll have you know that I was wearing Arby officially sanctioned pants (he did provide my ride afterall). Just ask the prostitute that was sitting in my passenger seat!

This sounds like a good time, but I'll probably sit out. Just curious, how do you plan to deal with disconnects?

EDIT: Ah, I see the roster's full already. WELL I DIDN'T WANT TO JOIN, ANYWAY!

And you can include me on Thursday as well. Like I said, I may be rushing to get on but I should be able to make it then too.

Tuesdays are the best for me, I would miss some Thursdays and Sundays I would not be able to make.
