For those who can at least can appreciate REAL music

I have an uneasy relationship with smooth jazz. Sometimes I like the sound in an ambient white noise kind of way, but the style dips into schmaltz too often.

funny, smooth jazz is the reason i got interested in music in the first place! Growing up I used to watch The Weather Channel to listen to the music. LOL.

Many will tell you that only Classical music falls into that category.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Everyone likes different shit.

To you, what you posted is real music. To me it's simply elevator music...but I'm not really a fan of Jazz (even though it's one of the most creative/hard to play music around).

even my friends who play jazz professionally dislike smooth jazz.

the OP music is fucking terrible. holy shit, i just clicked on the second link. what the hell is this, a backing track for an instructional video? i knew there were artists who wrote this kind of music, i thought they did it to pay the bills while pursuing their real interests. i figured no self respecting human could create this lard without some ulterior motive. i guess i was wrong. the world is a sad place.
