I only watched snippets because I haven't the constitution to endure the event.

I'll let Trump babble for himself but I liked the "friends" who at times looked like an animal gnawing its foot off to get out of a trap. The very end is worth seeing. A show has the President of the US that they dote upon and kick him off with obvious relief.

Yep, that part was worth it.
 
So if there's any remaining wonder, from anyone, why Trump can't hire lawyers... this is why. He just mucked up several cases at once.

I mean holy shit. Even Giuliani has to be shitting himself after this morning wondering what he just walked in to.

Trump reverses his position about Cohen, maybe. The reservation is that it could be argued that Trump hired Cohen to deal with "that mess" without knowledge of payment. Yeah, I know, me too.

But

Even if that were the case the client is also responsible for any improper or criminal actions on the part of his attorney and subject to civil action based on that alone, and no one thinks there's no "there" there.

What else did we get? Trump threatening to take control of "his"- yep he said that- Justice Department because of this mess of an investigation which of course is about his campaign at the very least. Attacks on Tester who assembled evidence against the doc in need of the AA. Lots more I'm sure.

It is like a truckload of shit with diamonds in it. If one is willing to wade through excrement then some wonderfully valuable things can be had. Fortunately, the Press will do that and I'm sure some investigator has more than a passing interest.

Fox invited him to call back again and I hope he takes them up on it.

That, and if Cohen decides to cooperate with the AG in order to avoid a long jail sentence, he could testify that Trump knew about what he was doing. This is the real problem for Trump right now.

We know that Trump has discussed pardoning Cohen with Sessions and others in his administration. These prosecutors better get their ducks in a row and hand off the case to the NY DA before any that happens.

Even if Cohen was empowered to take care of 'that mess' it still seems impossible for that NDA to be valid. I mean how could Cohen promise Trump's silence when Trump wasn't even aware it had been promised?

because the agreement stated it was between her and DD OR the entity. At least that's the argument.

It's as if Trump is sending coded messages every time he speaks freely: "I'm as guilty as sin. Send me to prison. Please."

You can't help but think Fox & Friends may have publicly invited Trump back, but is privately vowing to avoid bringing him back unless it's absolutely necessary. Fox has been willing to back Trump in part because it can serve as a filter that masks his corruption and minimizes his faults; it can't do that when he's talking live on the air, and Trump isn't smart enough to stick to 'safe' subjects.
 
Although I don't share the hyper partisan fvcktarded opinions above, I did have to turn it off at the 22 min mark. I can only listen to him in small doses.

It would be argued that him signing or not is irrelevant as it was acted upon in good faith. She accepted the money under those terms. Cohen would argue that as a party to the agreement representing Essential Consulting she would still be bound to the NDA with or without Trump's signature or involvement.

No lawyer here either but that sure seems like an invalid contract to me because Essential Consulting promised something it had no capacity to deliver. The deal wasn't $130k for Daniels' silence, it was $130k AND Trump's promise not to sue her, communicate with her, etc, in exchange for Daniels' silence. Since Trump wasn't even aware of those stipulations there's no way Essential Consulting could deliver on its half of the deal.
 
So what do these two statements, made by Trump today on national tv, say to everyone:

"You look at the corruption at the top of the FBI, it’s a disgrace. And our Justice Department – which I try and stay away from, but at some point I won’t – our Justice Department should be looking at that kind of stuff, not the nonsense of collusion with Russia. There is no collusion with me and everyone knows it."

"I’ve taken the position – and I don’t have to take this position and maybe I’ll change – that I will not be involved with the Justice Department. I will wait until this is over. It’s a total – it’s all lies and it’s a horrible thing that’s going on…. I’m very disappointed in my Justice Department."

I've bolded the parts that stand out to me. He thinks he can take over the Justice Dept. He is threatening to do so. The fact that he hasn't is only because he doesn't feel like it. This idiot is a clear and present danger.
