Off in Vista, I may make use of a few gadgets in Windows 7 since they are no longer tied to the sidebar application.

On my main machine, the sidebar is turned off. On my media PC, the clock, weather and I think performance are showing. On my laptop I have the clock one turned on (but I might turn this off).

Pandora, App Launcher, Live Search, Clock, Calender, Weather, CPU/RAM gauge.

I like the Sidebar well enough; I don't use the Live Search box so much, and I especially love having Pandora as a gadget.

Silly me, If I want to know the weather I just look out the window.

WTF denseness is this?

You do realize there are other locations besides those outside your window, right? Also in case you didn't know this, the weather can change over the course of the day.

Do you have a kick-ass window that can show you what the weather will likely be over the next few days. If so, I totally need to get one of those windows.

Can you judge temperature just by looking out the window?

I sure as hell can't.

Clock, Headlines, Coretemp, Weather, Pandora

though I never really use the clock, since it's easier to read the digital display at the bottom right of the screen.

I'm digging your last three. What are they? I ditched the out of the box CPU meter cuz I read it was a resource hog.

Third from the bottom is the All CPU Meter. If you have Speedfan installed it gives 3 temps. Where it says CPU on mine, I have it reading the GPU. I haven't gotten around to changing the text. The one's on the cores measure the core temp.

Second from the bottom is a network meter. It just shows traffic coming and going, and a coarse speed.
I can't find a link to the gadget. There's others, but if you want this one, I can post it up somewhere.

Bottom is a drive utilization gadget. It's sometimes interesting to see what's going on with your drives.
