We all see the nefs; they don't need a reason to post. But sometimes I see some lurker, registered as far back as 99 with a post count of under fifty, post in a thread and I can't for the life of me figure out why they chose that thread to post in. What exactly does it take to draw a lurker out into the nefarious world of commenting?

I think Hot Deals usually draws people out of lurking seclusion, it worked for me.
 
Only one I can think of is when somebody posted "Who has the lowest PPD?" some guy named Rain or something posted "me" and that was his second post since november 99.

I think he won.

sometimes i wonder if those tricky mods open an account to stir up some trouble 😛 An awful lot of people with 2 posts that registered in "October 1999"
