The word fluffernutter always makes me think of something relating to the porn industry.

What is it with Americans and peanut butter?

I'm not a big peanut butter nut myself though I do like it. We usually have a jar of it in the fridge somewhere. I actually like Nutella more but we never buy it.

But... what about you guys down there and Vegemite/Marmite D:. I've actually never tried it so I don't know but it sounds like the devils condiment.

Vegemite and Marmite are freaking amazing. I'm currently living with a Canadian guy, really nice dude but he flat out refuses to try Vegemite. Don't knock it till you try it.

BTW I actually eat a lot of peanut butter myself, but never understood the people who mix it with sweet things, that's just plain gross. I eat peanut butter on toast every morning. I have a funny feeling (and I don't know if this is true) that peanut butter in North America tends to be loaded with added sugar, because the stuff we eat down here would taste downright funky with marshmallow - it's salty, not sweet.

Tell your Canadian friend he's a pussy, from one Canadian to another ;) I'll eat just about ANYTHING once or twice, I'm really quite adventuresome with food. Will have to get a small jar of Vegemite and try it out. Maybe I'll make a video blog of myself trying it out and post it on YouTube.

Oh and yeah peanut butter is pretty sweet here:

24g of sugar per 258g serving. So yeah it does go with other sweet things.

Interesting, but I'll pass. I made a similar recipe without the marshmallow stuff, just a simple peanut butter, egg, sugar recipe I found online, and the results were way too rich/sugary.

This recipe won't be as sweet as only the marshmallow will add sweetness.
