I really enjoyed the Godfather and his 3 sons there. The ones that repeatedly thanked the President. Especially the one at the end who said "My sister died, and I think more guns is the answer".
It was pretty obviously heavily tilted to one side.

I figured it out.

How do you get rid of school shooters without getting rid of our beloved AR-15s? You get rid of the schools.

We just need to separate the teachers and normal students from the psychotic, mass-murdering students. From now on everybody will be taught by teleconference and students will learn in holographic pods in their homes.

I too would like to listen only to people who will praise me or not disagree too vehemently with me.

State level officials aren't going to have this luxury.

A Russian agent such as yourself would love to see a disarmed America. Sorry buddy, we aren't going to make taken over the beacon of Freedom all that easy. It is going to take a lot more than meme trolls to disarm America.

Each armed American is a torchbearer for freedom, we want the light of freedom to shine as brightly as possible in our land.
Holy fuck that's stupid.

That was the one who quickly put down the student who said ban assault rifles.

Sounds form Trump's closing that age limit is on the table.

Really the only thing we need to limit is bullied autistic boys to stop mass shootings.

3 options.

1. Get rid of semi-automatic rifles and pistols. - almost no mass shootings are carried out with revolvers or shotguns.

2. Get rid of bullying.

3. Get rid of autism, or autistic children, autism can be screened for during pregnancy and an abortion should be offered as a matter of public health.

Once again the gun nuts are willing to trade away any and all other rights to preserve the one right that supposedly defends the others.

In your view of a disarmed America, are cops armed? Are Homeland Security agents armed? Are FBI agents armed?

In a perfect world no one would be armed except the military. We don't live in a perfect world though.

1) I have proposed this or variations on this.

2) Ok. Should be done anyway.

3) Hooo Boy.

They want sociology and psych professors armed!

I'm not sured they've considered throughly the implications of arming the Women's Studies department with military grade weapons.

Or even my old econ prof who lost his car in the faculty parking structure every 3rd day of class like clockwork.

I said achieving a state of minimal mass killings is a relatively easy thing to do if you can get past the unpopularity. If we lived in a monarchy for example, the problem could be solved overnight. But we don't. The basic point is that we shouldn't talk about it like it's curing cancer or achieving nuclear fusion or things like that which are legitimately hard regardless of how much resources we put into them. Australia overnight took care of their issue. If you talk about gun control as if it's impossible then it will be. Gun control is unpopular (with certain segments of the population). It's not however hard or impossible. I would liken gun control to our healthcare issues (again not hard to solve but many want to maintain the status quo because they benefit from it).

Heck a few tax laws, some screening and licensing procedures and etc would get it done. The issue is not the difficulty of implementing the change but rather the difficulty of moving people from the status quo.
For some absolutely basic legislation, I don't entirely disagree with you. I'm not nearly as confident regarding the outcome as you are, but we can't all be pessimists.

Maybe he edited while you wrote this, but you left out a key point of his post.
Nah I saw it, I just think it was understated. Stating that gun control is 'unpopular' is probably the understatement of the last 2-4 decades, up there with 'the two party system isn't the best'.

I like at the end when he thanked the people for their ideas, some were very good, some were bad.

Once again guns are not the problem. If a man want to do evil, they will find a way. It is far easier to rent a truck and start running over kids then shooting them. I don't see anyone trying to outlaw truck renting. The problem with Obama law was it prevent anyone with any kind of mental illness to obtain a gun. Not all mental; illness are equal. Naturally I am in support of better gun control to prevent true nutcase to get guns.
