There is no need for a teacher to discuss sex with children ages 5 - 9 and that's what Florida's bill covers. Those kind of discussions are for parents.
The law is waaay to vague. That's how a teacher gets fired because a child asked about his bracelet. Parents with agendas suing teachers of of school.

Meanwhile if kids are shot in school, we don't need to deal with that.

Pretty sure it'll be used much more broadly, like people suing a teacher for saying it's not OK to bully someone because of their gender identity. Just like the anti CRT laws trying to ban talking about race at all.
Anti CRT laws are there to prevent racist crap like this happening.

Easy ... parent job day comes up. One child has two dads that both come in to present their jobs to the class. One student asks why Timmy has two dads. Teacher now can't say shit.

Yep, now that kid can be bullied and the teacher can't explain why that's wrong. The fact that this has to be explained to the new sock puppet account is unbelievable.

I noticed your number of posts. Reconstituted Spidey?

Those anti-crt laws say you can't teach college level courses to 5th graders. Guess what, it ain't happening. Goto my CRT thread and feel free to name the school that teaches courses in CRT

Lol! Again thanks for showing us just how dumb you are. You move on from one talking point to the next without ever even trying to address any point anyone makes.

You are a weak ass troll.

Nah, they're being used to stop teaching about basic history of this country on grounds it's too "divisive". I'm white and I felt like the racist shit in our history was bad, didn't make me feel like I was being attacked personally but rather that we need to do better to embrace what is supposedly a core tenet of this country.

Yeah - I'm 47 and had 12 years of private schooling (including 4 years of "college prep" highschool) and 7 years of college education.
It shouldn't have taken me until 2019 and HBO miniseries about superheroes to learn about the Tulsa Race Massacre.

That's embarrassing as hell to me, to every teacher and every school I have ever attended. And it wasn't just me - it was my brothers and sisters, friends etc. What a disgrace.

Why would a public school teacher discuss gender identity with children as young as five years of age.
I mean i gave a specific example, someone being bullied about it and the teacher having to explain it isn't OK. It's not like this a first for right wingers, they oppose sex education for high schoolers too. That's how we end up with morons who have zero idea how pregnancy (or birth control) works.

That's not even the meat of the bill. That's the smokescreen on the bill to make it look like it's ONLY there to protect children that are under 3rd grade. And it's bullshit,. After that line in the bill it is entirely open-ended and allows for basically ANYONE that feels SOMETHING said to ANY AGED kid is "inappropriate" to sue the school/teacher/etc. That's the hook.

If I'm living in Florida, and I had a HS aged kid, as soon as a teacher mentions "husband and wife" or "boyfriend and girlfriend" I'm going to scream fucking bloody murder. They are CLEARLY forcing sexual preferences to my kid that I personally find offensive and "inappropriate" for my teenage child. I would make them explain that my complaint is not valid as heterosexuality is the assumption. Which would then highlight (to I'm sure still unwilling to admit eyes) that the bill is clearly targeted and homosexuality and basically anything in the LGBTQ+ spectrum

These people that write these bills are not stupid. They know what they are doing and how they word things. Nothing is not intentional. They are not dumb - they are hateful and fuckheads, but they are not dumb.

It's NOT just what the bill covers. Go back and read it again you ignorant idiot.
And often times kids (likely with parents like you) can't discuss sex or sexual preferences with their parents because their parents are ignorant idiots.
