Doesn't really seem that crazy to me. Haven't you ever tossed still-twitching catfish fillets into a fryer while watching the head attempt to breathe on the cutting board next to it?

Catfish pretty much refuse to die, I've left the lake, packed um in a cooler, driven an hour and a half with them out of water, filleted them and they are still going.

Have you ever seen how long it takes for Carp to die? Those things can live for over a day out of water in some cases! It's really insane.

This Carp here wanted to live so badly it started talking:Q

You'd probably say anything anybody wanted to keep yourself from being chopped into little pieces, too :p

why not just kill the fish? Is there any valid reason for keeping it alive?

Cool Factor.

Plus now that fish is all badass and stuff.

The other fish is all like "Hey man, check out this fscking hole in my face from where I got caught." And this fish is all like "Oh yeah? Check this out." Then he turns sideways and says "And I watched him eat it."

Dood, thats crazy. I saw some sh!t on the food network, where the fish was scaled, scored, and fried (with careful attention to keep its head out of the oil) while still alive. The "goal" of this dish is to get it to the table while its still breathing! :Q The chinese folks that received this dish were cheering that it was still alive, but cooked when brought to the table. :(

how is that even rmeotely wrong?

god phucing THANK YOU.... and I am an atheist.

Who cares if you're an Atheist? I don't think fish fit into God's divine plan no matter what religion you study anyway. I thought the video was kinda disgusting and just can't believe there are people who like that sushi crap, it's like they prefer to eat like a bear in the wild instead of properly cooking their food. Whatever, enjoy your mercury poisoned fish meat.

If by "properly cooking" your food, you want no guilt where it came from....

then you are a sheep.

Unless you are 100% (the real deal 100%, not the phag pretend) vegetarian like I was until I was 14, then kindly STFU.

My parents fed me nothing but a 100% vegetarian diet till that age, meaning ZERO dairy products.

However, I became fond of meat by my own accord. My parent's don't give two shits about the death of animals for food, they are just ultra vegan by tradition.... which brings me to my point:

You are a total nartard.

You want the steak but don't want to know where it comes from.
You like the taste of a food, yet speak against the means of attaining said food when you are not hungry.

Imagine yourself stranded on a life raft in the middle of the Atlantic for 6 days. You'd be thinking of this video like it was your best phucking dream.

You are a HUMAN, you eat what tastes good. I guarantee you will fantasize about the fish in your stomach if you are put in an extreme condition, just like any other predator.

Unless you are a god-made herbivore, or a plant... you will eat that fish and not give a rats ass about it suffering, human (yeah, that's what you are).

Go play WoW and cry about the inhumane nature in which your opposing guild levels up, tard

umm vegetarians can eat dairy, vegans cannot.

He's going to feel that in the morning, but it shouldn't take long for those fillets to grow back. Nice!

I like to fish and eat it too.

I prefer it COOKED and prepared. That is just nasty.

How about for Thanksgiving we just let the turkey run all around the table while everyone takes turns swinging at it with a knife?

LOL that's because it was cooked wrong.

That's like saying venison is gamey.

venison being gamey has a lot to do with how the deer is killed and dressed (or so it's always seemed to me) - unless I'm mistaken, a lot of adrenaline (i.e. not a quick kill) in the meat adds to the gamey flavor; plus if the person dressing out the deer doesn't remove the scent glands carefully, ick!

Maybe it's just me but I don't see any dead fish moving. Can you tell me the exact time in the video when I should be seeing this? Thanks.

It has a lot to do with what it eats. I've tried grassfed beef, and it tastes gamey to me.
