ok so I have had a newegg account for quite awhile and finally bought a case off of it. i just got the case today, and it really didn't look much like the pictures, the box was all messed up, the case had dents on the sides and that i had to hammer out, or in. i mean it just hasnt been a very plesant experience dealing with them. what should i do? i want to complain in some way, but not sure what is the proper course of actions

RMA it neweggs RMA is really good

whats RMA again? i mean would they take it back? i mean i hammered out the places that were messed up and it looks ok now.

you shouldn't have done anything to it. if the item comes as broken or defective, call them right away and ask for replacement.

Login, go to RMA request - request an RMA repair.
Although, with a case, it'll be hefty shipping it back - call and complain and see if they credit you or maybe compensate you for shipping.

i didnt get it from the refurb section, but now that you mentioned it, do they send out refurb stuff as new? i mean its an aspire case, it was 42 shipped, quite a lot of money for me. it just didnt look as good as the advertisement described it to be

something must have gone wrong. newegg is awesome. call them and be nice. i'll bet ya $$$ that they will send you a new one with some gifts and refund your shipping.

i  newegg.

Newegg is an excellent reseller, however not all of the stuff they sell is. If the manufacturer is cheap (as opposed to inexpensive) you sometimes can get the short end of the stick - you would from any reseller, it's generally a fault in the manufacturer's packaging or the product itself - not a fault with Newegg.. I've read reviews of some cheap cases saying much the same thing, that it came dented or what-not. You get what you pay for. Newegg does have a good RMA policy, though you do have to pay shipping if you RMA something. With a case that'd run $10-$15 to ship it's probably better to bang out the dents though, which you did. Other things that make Newegg good are competitive pricing, shipping (generally cheap, if not free - and almost always 2-3 day FedEx), and telling you when they don't have something in stock, as opposed to charging your credit card and saying nothing as they wait a month or two to get the item in stock while you wonder what the f*ck happened (fsck you mem4less.com! :|).

Just contact their RMA department, get a numebr then ship the case back. I think if the case is defective and you contact them right away they'll pay for the shipping back as well.

I wouldn't believe it at first... now I do... Newegg sold used parts.... BAD!

Problem with Newegg!

Newegg

A few dissatisfied customers are unavoidable. Mistakes happen and some people aren't happy no matter what. Their ratings on reseller rating websites are higher than just about anyone's.

Did you at least take some pics when you got the case? I have a hard time believing that newegg would send out a case in that kind of condition. If the box was that messed up you should have called the delivery company (most likely fedex).

We all know that FedEx and NewEgg can do no wrong. What you're going to be seeing from here on out, Reon, is a bunch of monkeys who hear no evil, see no evil, and speak no evil against NewEgg. At the most, they'll be pointing fingers at you for screwing up this transaction in some fashion.

There is an ond saying that if all of your customers are happy you are lo9song money.

A few dissatified customers is bound to happen now and again.

Most of them are il informed or unwilling to relize that although the purchase was made online at some point there was a person involved and every so often people make mistakes.

We need a troll emoticon 😛

Again, anecdotal stuff, and yes packaging used merchandise as new could very well be a mistake. Hiring the guy responsible for the occurrance in the second link could also be a mistake - then again, believing what individuals post anonymously on the internet can be a mistake as well... Your stance on this is quite ironic considering your sig... Newegg is about as good as a business can be in the real world.
