Basically trying to play this game and i fixed the first problem (XINPUT1_3.dll) by updating the diret x 9.0 (thank to this site for the link). But now im getting a fatal error message sayin unsupported pixel shader 2.0, now my graphics card is a XFX Geforce fx 5900 xt and i thought that this gpu accepted pixel shader up to 2.0+.

Sorry but the minimum requirements for the game are a GeForce 6600 card which supports SM3. Anyway, even if it did run you're never going to get acceptable performance in an advanced DX9 game on a GeForce FX.

so after I finally got this game to work I have to say, graphically I am very impressed but the sounds are really weak, either way, I am going to pick this game up when it comes out.

I was using the latest 94.24 Nvidia drivers on windows xp with this demo and it seemed kinda laggy.

I updated to the latest WHQL beta drivers, the 160.02's and the game is much smoother and my 3Dmark score increased as well as IQ.

Nice drivers so far

In a word... Craptacular performance in a shiny package.

Honestly it isn't even that much better.

This game isnt even that fun. Not even a hint of a storyline during gameplay, just in the cutscenes.

Kill 100's of pointlessly easy bugs, then defeat absurdly hard boss (compared to the fodder they throw at you in between bosses), repeat x 12.

PLus the stupid thermal energy thing is so dumb. I like games where I can go explore, take in the scenery. If I wanna play a game where I have to finish the level as fast as possible, I'll play Need for Speed.

AWESOME! I thought so too..
I finished the Xbox 360 version a few months ago.
It was a decent game, for those complaining... wait until you play Bullet Witch!!!

I played the DX10 version on my 8800GTS + Vista, then this weekend I went out and bought a X360 + lost planet + NFS:MW. My overall impression is that the visuals are roughly similar with default settings on the PC, but much smoother on the X360. Gameplay is easier on the PC just because mice are easier to aim than joysticks.

I find it to be funner on the X360, but you're right - the storyline is kind of weak and the thermal energy thing is senseless, but I enjoy the effects and explosions so much that I hardly notice.

I downloaded the demo off of Steam.

The demo ran fine without any problems. I set the resolution and all options to max.

The frame rate was a steady 35 fps.

The graphics (even under DX9) were simply amazing. Too bad the controls and interface are so terrible.

Now that you have an Xbox 360, you should go out and buy Gears of War
That should give you an idea how how good that console is

Some games use this type of methodology of "you must kill or you will eventually die." Otogi for the XBOX (very fun game) and Shinobi for the PS2 are good examples of this. The idea is you can't just sit around... you've got to constantly move, find sources of energy and not get hit.

Personally, I thought the graphics weren't too bad on my 8800GTX, but the performance for the visuals was quite disappointing... and I wasn't even in my full res! (1680x1050 isn't supported)
