fired from target because of racism

JewBagel, bagle boy and moses are just a few names that the employees call mje, and when I addressed it to the manager, he didn't seem surprised or anything, he just had a smug look on my face, I was fired that day for no reason other than employees say that you are a bad worker and other heresy<sp?> Can someone direct me, I already filed a complaint with the corporate office, but legal advice? thanks!
 
you should be happy, not sad. you will get to make a bunch of money off of this. Plus, how did people know you were jewish?
 
Your state usually has a labor office where you can obtain legal help and advice. They will help you obtain compensation from the company. You may also want to seek a private attorney if you wish to file civil suits against the individuals involved.

Call the ACLU and your local news stations and papers. And the Anti-defamation league.
 
The employees asked me a couple weeks ago, are you jewish, them being african american, I figured yes, I am in good company, since we are both minorities, but then one of said, "you don't need to work, your parants are making you work aren't they" I tried to laugh it off but when he called me moses so many times and the manager jokes around with these employees and when I pass by, they don't even acknowledge me. I can tell how the managers feel about me, and I am writing all this in detail which I will type up because I wrote it on paper before I forget the details. How can I find the labor office.

Easier said than done, but yes document whatever you can and go to the labor board.

 
Unless you can get someone to back you up, I'm afraid this could turn into a "he said / she said" contest, but I'd report it just the same.

It figures, you happen to have worked with the most racist of all racists. Because they are black noone will give a sh*t.
 
Should have did a Water Boy and drop kicked their @ss.

Take a cassette recorder next time you talk with the manager and get proof. Make a copy for the Target Corporate headquarters and one for ADL
