Hot Fuzz had a funny moment when he was in the catacombs and came across the gold mime guy, who just happened to be frozen with a look of horror on his face.
However, on the whole I liked Shaun of the Dead a little better.

Comedy Central heavily edited it. Like the part where they do the whole planning thing (if you could call it that) was cut to only one planning pass, getting rid of a good joke.
Shaun: [cuts to dream sequence a third time] Take car. Go to mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?
Ed: Yeah, boyyyeee!
[Shaun and Ed clang weapons together]

Shaun: Mum, have you been bitten?
Barbara: No, but Philip has.
Shaun: Oh, OK.
Ed: Has she been bitten?
Shaun: No, but Phillip has.
Ed: Oh, OK.

Hot Fuzz was a much better movie. I actually like Zombie movies more than the action/cop movies, but Shaun of the Dead didn't even come close to the genius of Hot Fuzz. Don't get me wrong, it was still a good movie, but Hot Fuzz is in another league.
