FINALLY Got my Copy of Civ IV yesterday.

Oh man. I'm going to have no life for the next 3 months at least. This game is just awesome. They took everything from Civ III that was good, threw out the crappy stuff *cough*multiplayer*cough* and added a whole bunch of new crap that is cool. The new engine is pretty swanky looking for a Civ game.

Oh, and I got the Special Edition, since I reserved it. Nice big Tech map and spiral bound manual and a tastfully attired box (looks like a hard cover novel).

UPS is trying to mess with me. Yesterday, no one was home to sign for the package (damn roommates), and when I went to pick it up ... i didn't have proof of address (since no one told me I needed that when i arranged for the pickup). Since I couldn't pick it up, I just asked them to deliver it tomorrow instead. Check this morning: My status is still on will call pickup, so I call and arrange to have it delivered today.

However, my online tracking status still says will-call. If I don't get it before this weekend, I'm going to be very unhappy .

I just got this game, but only had time to install it and take a quick peek... and i have to say, this is a BEAUTIFUL looking game... even the menu was very impressive. Can't wait for Sunday when i can really sit down and play.

and its better then Civ 3 but i really liked Civ 3 also, the new Ui is gonna take a bit of getting used to but ist sweet

So anyone want to break religion down for me? I founded 3 of them and I'm not sure if I should only have 1 dominate or to spread all 3 of them???

Does Civ4 support native widescreen resolutions?

I think that if you have the same religion as someone else, they are more apt to give you favorible trading terms, be allies, etc.

yea they demand you change to their religion and they get mad at you for being "heathens"

Well, I have so much culture that they all change to my religion.
