I know of many places in not so great areas that would probably do it for $1000 less, but of course I had to pay for experience and the fancy facility. Funny though, because only the assistants put everything in, the Ortho hardly did anything except look over my teeth. The assistants were a bunch of burly husky 6' tall women who have very strong hands, emasculating even a rugged man such as myself. They only put in the bottom row since it hadd to be moved back in more than the top row so they want to move that in first before proceeding with placing in the top.

So did you get any snooze snooze?

Hey, now you can finally live out your dream of being a dirty old man hanging out at highschool parties - those braces will get you right in!

Edit - Oh, and at over five large US with no Invisalign, you got PwN3d on pricing.

i'm sure like $500 or so, I live in a fancy area in Miami beach. It's no hick town like you are from, keep that in mind.

Yes, because dentists really adjust their pricing threefold based on the area they're located in.

So in other words, you like being fiscally sodomized by your orthodontist? How's that working for you?

- M4H

Go easy on him, he can't give his bf a bj for quite awile now, the trauma is enough without you adding to it!

damn right, the nationwide average for invisalign is $5000, can go as high as $8000 depending on your area. Do the math, therefore there are little hick towns doing invisalign for $2500 to make an approx average or $5000.

Oh yeah, pontifex said it, those rubber bands are going to suck big time........

but when do they suck, right after tightening for a couple days? Then it feels ok?

the whole time you have them. they are just extremely annoying
its probably been close to 15 years since i had them. they shoot out of your mouth, you can't open your mouth very wide, they get in the way of food and stuff.

I need braces. I needed them more when I was a kid, but my family couldn't afford them so it never happened. Now I'm in university, and moving all my stuff out/independent, so I'd have to pay for it myself. Not going to happen

(Anybody know if there are insurance/aid programs for this kind of thing? I expect not, as braces are mostly cosmetic)

There is also a lot of negative things about invisalign. They can't correct a lot of things.

Also I see you only have rubber bands on your lower teeth. Wait until they use rubber bands and connect your lower and upper teeth. Talking is bitch when they do this.

Actually a lot of dental insurance companies will pay for half of the cost.

Pfft, braces are nothing. They'll hurt the first couple days but after that you'll forget that you even have them.

Been there, done that in HS. Glad it is over ... metal face + oodles of zits = few chicks. Yes that is right few ... but not none :p

Getting elbowed in the mouth playing basketball with braces ranks as my all-time worst pain. :(

I went and did the xrays, they swore that they are all digital and hence produce such small amounts of radiation. I swear I felt diffferent after them. They put a thing to shield my chest, but no helmet for my head? Otherwise, they say I will have to wear these things for like 18 mo. After that, I will have a colin farrel smile :D.
the xrays did nothing to make you feel different. :p

and funny you mention Collin Farrell... i saw that vid.. wow!

Chains suck to. Though I never understood the point of chains.

Atleast you don't need head gear.
