Not liking Glock for ergo's is one thing (although Glocks are very easy to get aftermarket stuff to help with that), but saying that you prefer a Ruger over one for SD/CCW use is idiotic IMO.

If I get a firearm for SD/CCW, then I want something that will fire EVERY time. I don't see Ruger having that reliability I'm looking for.

As someone who owns several ruger firearms, I do see them as something that will fire EVERY time.

I don't care what you buy, range time proves the gun, not the name attached to the box.

I've shot thousands of rounds though my ruger pistols without a single issue. Same with my walther, glock, XD, and S&W.

grats on getting your pistol. as one person already said "range time proves the firearm", so definitely spend time burning some powder.

alway fun to hear folks defend their choices or belittle others. Bottom line: find the pistol that fits your grip, your stance, your familiarity, your needs. the smart buyer will search for the pistol that comes most naturally to their hand, whether it's a Ruger, Glock, Kimber, Para Ordinance or Llama. That's the starting point. then consider your needs. Personal defence with a 32 auto is tricky, deer hunting with a 9mm causes depression, carrying a 44 mag concealed causes back pains and long car rides. The 38 special ultra lights are fun to carry and a pain to shoot, the 10mm revolver makes a great hunting piece and scares the heck out of folks not used to a 2 lb trigger. So enjoy your glock and let others enjoy the firearms of their choice.

I love my Glock 23. Wouldnt ever dream of carrying anything else. Its simple, reliable and deadly accurate. Glock man for life.

Damn. My local police outfitter sells their used duty guns for about 400 😱

Yeah I was gonna say 550 is not a bargain. Not a ripoff, but not special. Unless it had custom sights and such. Or if it came with a good locking case and several extra magazines. Would it be fair to say most cops carry 3?

I just watched those scenes again on Youtube and it looks like Agent Downey had absolutely no weapons training of any kind. Not good for my suspension of disbelief.

I've only shot a glock once in my life, but I think about getting one now and then. I always thought the Glock 36 would make sense. The power of .45 ACP, but slim and trim due to the single stack mag. The downside is you only get 6 shots (I guess 7 if you preload the chamber?)...

Are you a "hoodlum"? If so maybe I can have her make an exception as you seem to be so interested.

That was my issue with the glock 30. The double stack mag was causing concealment issues. The 30 being a. 45 didn't help.

Not "if". When.

For carry you ALWAYS keep one chambered.
