Okay, wow, this game is horrible with the money balance...my characters are leveled up very decently and are higher than the recommended level for where I'm at, but I need to buy new equipment that costs over 30,000 GIL which is going to equal about 2 hours of just mindlessly killing enemies...I don't even feel like playing now![]()
actually makes me want to get it now. i've played FF since 1 was released for NES. one thing I haven't liked, is how prgressively easier they have gotten. X was a breeze...I think my party got wiped out once all the way through?
Ridiculous.
Reason for this, is the money/leveling up has become unbalanced. I guess I'm the type that liked to spend a few mindless hours wailing on enemies to get cash and level up....for some reason, it made the game a bit more intimate; and finally being able to purchase that new upgrade made it more worthwhile...you would actually notice how much less wailing you would have to do!
I think the games for the newer systems have been made easier for the younger kids that play them these days; and to compensate for the average lessening of attention spans (I actually still read a lot...if you guys can believe that!). I think game companies feel that if players can't blaze through a game relatively easily, they won't be satisfied and will give up if they actually have to spend time improving their characters a bit before they can progress with the story.
