OMG, I saw half of the movie. The cgi is amazing and it seems really good so far.

I've always wondered what Tifa would look like if she was more life-like 😀.
 
Wow, the Tifa fight scene is so Frikken sweet! so is clouds (im about half way through myself)

The D/L came with a subtitles file but I don't know how to use it. what program/wtf do you do with it?

i've got "bien-xvid-ff7-subs.sfv"
"bien-xvid-ff7.idx"
"bien-xvid-ff7.sub"

i dont know what you do with any of those 🙁

I think VLC can use .sub, just use file-open and there's a tab that let's you select a subtitles file
 
i d/led the .ssa eng sub, translated it to .srt, hardsubbed it into the .avi, converted it to mpeg2/ac3 compliancy, and burned it to DVD. profit!!!

Nah, they'll wait until they have the english copy side-by-side so they can use it as a reference so they don't gather any serious misconceptions.
 
Aw man the movie is so cool. makes me wanna go back and play ff7 again. i probably won't though, i beat the game 4 times already. 🙂

these are actually the japanese subs, need the separate english translation subs

Not true. Fan subbers are fast
Most of them sub it before it releases and licenses in America, i.e. get released in DVD; to avoid legal problems

Because it would be a marketing disaster after they released a lackluster movie with the franchise name (FF:SW).
 
Cream-in-my-pants fighting, crappy plot and character development. There were also some inconsistencies between the game and movie (glaring example: the Bahamut summon materia, or Master summon materia, is red).
