Again, I was wondering if anybody has any other numbers other than acceleration (lateral excluded) with which to compare the Enzo to ANY other car. And of course you can compare the Enzo to the Corvette, I did...it's done. :p

There are so many posts here that I didn't bother reading any of it. The Mclaren F1 is just a freaking awesome car. It's almost 10 years old and still selling on the open market upwards of $1 million. It's still got the faster acceleration time, more usable space, and better looks IMO than the Enzo Ferrari. It also won Le Mans in it's first attempt there I believe in 1995. The Enzo is still cool. Check this movie out of Tiff Needell (my idol) driving this machine around the track:

Enzo movie

Here's him breaking the British land speed record in the McLaren:

Tiff is the man!!! That video of him driving the McLaren F1 to the market, and then on city streets.........AND THEN to the track just brought me to tears!!!! Towards the end of the video, he breaks the rear end loose and you can just hear the engine going and the tires grabbing for traction. I was off my chair jumping up and down!! :p

A Corvette just doesn't compare to an F1 or an Enzo.

Eh, neither cars are "practical" in the sense a Camry is practical. That part of the Vette vs. Ferrari argument is silly. The whole thing is, really. A Vette isn't going to turn any heads, except your own. I've seen Vettes on the road, you have, we all have. Usually they're driven by balding old rich folk who're going thru a mid life crisis ;)

A Ferrari is a car that, while still driven by balding old rich folks going thru their mid life crisis, turns heads. It's not like you'd end up going 0-60 in 3 seconds on the highway in either car anyways, so ya might as well try for something w/ a little more prestige than a riced up Chevrolet. The Ferrari is an exotic - the Vette is a sports car.

And who cares about reliability? If you can afford the Enzo, you can pay for maintenance.

0-60 in 3.4? Bah. I'm not impressed, when the Subaru WRX STi will do it a mere 1.38 seconds slower. :p And you could buy like 5 STi's for the price of a Ferrari. :p

btw, i can't stand you dash strokers. Who gives a sh!t what the dash is wrapped in when you are pulling 0-60 in 1.97 and over a 'g' on the pad

that's fast.. one of the fastest i've seen for a production car... next to the mclaren f1 production car which was 2.9s to 60... the only other cars that can pull 0-60 times so low are modified cars.. (Callaway Vette, Hennessey Viper, etc.)

I know that's a joke, because 1.38 seconds is huge in terms of 0-60 :p And 5 STi's? I wasn't aware the Enzo only costs 150,000  :p

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM thatsh ow much Ferrari just made in one SWOOP of designing that Enzo.

Wonder how much it cost to make?
R&D for the elaborate carbon-fiber tub and big V12 and setting up fab capacity to hand build these vehicles... I'd be surprised if Ferarri even made a dime selling the Enzo.

But that's not the point.

I'm glad leno bought one. It will go nice next to his mclaren. He is the guy I'd be if I was rich. I don't get these multi-millionaire celebrities who drive around in crap like convertible M3's (drew barrymore) and other layman junk like that. If I was worth more money than I could shake a stick at I'd have the best! And you watch cribs - everyone has a bentley, but hardly anyone has a cheaper and much more enjoyable ferrari or anything like that. What a bunch of lamos!

That's cool, but I'd much rather take a RWD/AWD car and sup it up. Corvette, Camaro/Firebird, 240sx, Supra.. whatever. You can get those cars to be just as fast (the choice is between domestic/japanese and v8/v6 :)), maybe they won't handle quite as well and they definately won't have the ferrari "prestige" but so what? :)

Since its <MAKE> <MODEL>, it would actually be Ferrari Enzo Ferrari.

But really who gives a crap? I'm not gonna f*cking type Enzo Ferrari every damn time. Its an Enzo and leave it at that.

Not according to Ferrari. There is no rule that the cars name is <MAKER> <MODEL>, it's just common practise. But in this case, the name of the car is Enzo Ferrari. Although Ferrari does refer to it as "The Enzo" also.
