Fence that goes under the ground when you press a button then comes back up when you press the button again

How about just metal rods that poke out of the ground every 8ft that shoot lightning whenever someone comes within 4 ft?

Again this is not for security at all.
No actually I want to raise the fence out of the ground when the lawn is being cut and lower the fence whenever its not being cut.

You just want the hassle of having to mow around a fence, but not have the convenience of a fence when you're not mowing?

Congratulations, most retarded thing I've heard all day.

...also, why have a fence if you are going to have the land un protected most of the time...😕

Still, would be a cool engineering problem.

The fence isn't for security

So for appearance? Like a white picket fence...? Cause that would be damn funny if some assclown had their dog crap on your yard, and as they tried to leave it impaled them both. 😛

The fence would not be raised or lowered during these times at all.

Why not?

more like $75,000

Way more than that where I live as you would have to come up with some creative way to reroute the houses water intake and sewage outake to go under your fence and playing with either of those things is big bucks.

So what - you wanting to ride around your yard naked while mowing and don't want the neighbors to see?

If the OP wasn't on perma-abstinence, I'd have to agree.

Shouldn't really be that hard or expensive.
Dig the trench with a rented track hoe. Form trench with concrete. Build lift and lock system out of steel and hydraulic jacks/rams, lines, and a pump/switches. Build form for concrete base on top of steel plates to hold post. Poor concrete and set post. Run fence. Make flaps to cover when fence is down.

but why????
