For what it's advertised to be, it's very good. Heart attack deserts. I like the store in the front. GIANT TOOSIE ROLLS like the ones someone my age used to be able to get for 10 cents in the machine at the double feature matinee movie. Been to the one in Kings Bay, GA twice.
Yeah I was in Savanah. I remember I got some good candies, such as delicious taffy/caramel, and gourmet sodas from the front of the store.

Today's conservatives sure do love their pork spending...

I don't get it? .. does this come with every meal? I mean, Cracker Barrel also offers salads (believe it or not!) and vegetables, but they aren’t forcing those on any dedicated customers either. Do they think vegetable Sausage was made from aborted fetuses? Cracker Barrel isn't forcing this down anyone's throats, It’s just an option added to the menu. The pork animal meat is still the default. Addicts to the dopamine hit of artificial outrage. The last admin removed any principled beliefs in exchange for outrage edgelording and paranoia/conspiracy. I'm sure part of the hostile reaction may be fear that customers ordering pork sausage will be served plant-based meat instead by the woke mobs running Cracker Barrels.

Deplorable’s feelings hurt again when Cracker Barrel decided to give plant based sausage as a breakfast option.
Note: not everything is plant based, you can still go there and have regular pork or chicken sausage.

There was quite a large Facebook bickering too
@Amused

Huh?

Did they actually call it "woke"? Watering the meaning of the word down pretty fucking far at this point if that's the case.

Anything they deem negative they call woke. Same technique they used to demonize CRT

Waiting for the Dems to punch back and label Republicans white nationalists since they live associating with them

jesus...if you wanted interstate homophobia and diabeetus after any 37 minute stop on 95, there is nothing better than Cracker Barrel. and if this article doesn't square that fact that everyone already knows about this shitheel company and its sister-fucking patrons, then I don't know what does!

Haven't they sold hippie shit in the front lobby market for years? What kind of fucking snowflake cares at this point about rubbery tofu sausage?

lol, exactly. The front "gift store" of any Cracker Barrel has now long been a dependable source of your "Franz Kafka finger puppet fridge magnets," or "Patty Librarian: action figure" in a box....if you haven't noticed the signs at Cracker Barrel in all this time, then you already lost............. .....

I get insulting CB's typical clients, but why do you have to drag sister fuckers into it? I mean that's just a perk of growing up in the Ozarks.

The real woke like me only eat sausage made from insect protein. You can farm them in a hundred story building down town in New York. Talk about density. Trillions of meal worms can help feed a city

I remember sitting down in a Cracker barrel in Texas, myself and my co-irkers are from Wisconsin where we don't have them. We all wanted a beer, they didn't sell it, so we went to a Chilis instead. That concluded my interaction with them.

I'd make it a point to order the plant-based option just to support its existence and spite the haters. And these days, plant alternatives are often good enough that you won't mind much!

Took a couple of tries to get my technique down, but I can fool most macho beef eating chest beaters with my Impossible burger tacos, burritos, and chili. On its own, like as a burger patty, you can definitely tell it isn't beef. Still tasty. I use my country style Dijon pan sauce, if I go that route with it. It ends up like Rob Lowes' turkey burgers though. No matter how much I jazz them up, Ron's - I slapped a beef patty on a bun is going to win. :D

Thing is, I am closer to 60 than 50 now, and too much red meat isn't a great choice anymore. Impossible burger replacing ground beef has been a good thing. Quality sources of all the BCAAs isn't an issue in my diet.

If you are confused by the above reference -

These right-wing maga rats have co-opted the word woke for their side that has nothing to do with the original meaning.
They do it with anything their little monkey brains latch on to. What you wrote is exactly what they did to the Punisher.

Good work! And it's important to remember that Beyond Meat/Impossible/et. al. are continuously refining their recipes, so it might be just a question of when they're close enough that it'll be truly difficult to tell the difference. And yes, plant-based options could be a good way to keep enjoying burgers when beef isn't wise.

Woke was always a bullshit term that is variable and can apply to anything they get their undies in a bunch about.

its a buzz word for morans.
I had no idea how it started so searched. Fox News managed to make it racist. And read the comments, you nailed it, about it meaning whatever these mouth breathers want it to.

We weren't impressed with Beyond when we tried it; been a year or 2. But Impossible burger is a staple in my house. The heme iron/soy leghemoglobin is what sells the meat like taste I think.

This illustrates the problem with conservatives. They don’t want any change that effects their power base. They consider this an intrusion from the left so their natural reaction is to revolt

Same reason they are in a freak out about the countries demographics changes. Same reason they get their hate on for…

Minorities
LGBTQ

White replacement theory is all about this

Whenever there is a freak out about any kind of integration I don’t have to be told who is responsible. Remember the Cheerios Super Bowl commercial showing a cute little girl making breakfast for her daddy? The mother who is white was in the room. The girl takes breakfast into the bedroom to her father who was a black man. There were tons of hate mail for the nicest commercial. I didn’t have to be told it was a bunch of racist white republicans

I wouldn't agree that it was "always a bullshit term", it had a more specific meaning before it made it onto the Fox News stage, and then joined their pantheon of trigger phrases.

I've cooked with Beyond Meat for my SIL before, but haven't tried it myself. It looks decent amount, but they have an insane amount of fat in them much more than the ground sirloin I typically use and way more than turkey. I have a heard time believing they aren't worse for you than lean meat.

*scream* Hole lee shit. Waiter! There's CRT all over my menu!

Poor snowflakes, those feels must be absolutely ravaged.

In a day and age where repug leaders are synonymous with dishonesty and treason, rageshitting yourself over breakfest sausage is a form of therapy for outage addicts. What do you expect them to care about, sedition/treason? Sustainable agriculture? Haha
