After being notified of a wide range of criminal behavior involving the president and his associates I suspect Republicans in Congress will do nothing, most likely claiming that because Trump himself was not implicated in active collusion with Russia that the entire investigation is tainted and invalid and that this was all a Deep State Coup Attempt.
That is also my fear as well basically green lighting this behavior for future administrations to the detriment of our republic. Doesn't this eerily resemble Senator Palpatine when he took over Republic using legal means and then twisted everything to become Emperor.

"The inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, has been asking witnesses why FBI leadership seemed unwilling to move forward on the examination of emails found on the laptop of former congressman Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) until late October — about three weeks after first being alerted to the issue, according to these people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter.

A key question of the internal investigation is whether McCabe or anyone else at the FBI wanted to avoid taking action on the laptop findings until after the Nov. 8 election, these people said. It is unclear whether the inspector general has reached any conclusions on that point."

Ah, here it is: they're trying to make it about McCabe, but everything we seen so far indicates it was pro-Trump agents sitting on the emails and leaking BS to Ghouliani, Prince, and others. Also goes against McCabe's interests to sit on it if he's pro-Clinton; the emails were already suspected to just be duplicates. Now the one other thing is the reasoning why Wray bought into Nunes' narrative.

Had they done it properly and just reviewed them without comment it wouldn’t have been an issue.
