If Biden wins, it will be an interesting lame duck. I think the country will be spared if he quickly resigns and has Pence issue blanket pardons. The country won't be spared if he uses the lame duck to undermine the results.

But if the shoe was in the other foot. If the words of Hillary made people to act out against the orange baby, he'd demand everyone directly or indirectly to be prosecuted. Can't wait for his official statement in this matter

Remember Benghazi hearings? I remember.

Just so we're all in agreement, this is straight up treason terrorism, right?

edit: for mistake

Terrorism, treason, insurrection, I'm sure any of the labels can be used to describe these people and what they were planning.

Its been said and is worth repeating, tyranny will come with a flag and a bible in one hand and a gun in the other.

The 2nd amendment was designed to stop people like these, not enable them.

Yes, it is terrorism.

To theorize how this will go....we will first resemble Iraq - before falling to Afghanistan levels of tribalism. Or we will rise up and become North Korea. I do not believe quelling the current unrest will resolve with the continuation of America as we know it. Too many radicals hell bent on not accepting civil society, the rule of law, etc. Of accepting the results of elections. They want to use force.

Such people can only be met with force. Whether it is organized (North Korea) or disorganized and tribal(Afghanistan).

I hope they are too few in number to make a difference. But September 11th was 19 people. Dozens, if not hundreds, can make a huge difference in the steps society takes to protect itself... from itself. And there are a lot of people who would rebel against such measures. It is a trap where escalation is on everyone's mind. Locals will take matters into their own hands, whether it be so called militias, or autonomous zones. America is primed for civil unrest.

I can only hope that what you say is true. History does not say that only the righteous prevail.

Do you think that Republicans feel a real existential threat to their own morality?

You are right and one mans freedom fighter is another mans terrorist and as AG barr recently said, the victor writes the history books.

As to your other question; I think some Republicans feel that way while other Republicans use that anxiety to further their goals.
Is that anxiety justified though? If not then where is it coming from? I think the source of it should be where the concern is placed.

I did use the word existential. I think when it comes to existence, the maximum anxiety is always justified.

Really? I don't. When I travel by plane I don't freak out, like a majority of people, whether or not I'm going to die despite the real possibility of it happening. You can apply that to basically everything in life because pretty much anything can kill you. So no, I don't think maximum anxiety is always justified. What a horrible world that would be.

I don't imagine that you feel as though the plane is actually going to crash.

But I will add to this an observation. People fight far harder to maintain their psychic world (self/other) than their physical world (self/other). And this is not a mistake of evolution.

That's kind of the point. Imaginary threats versus real and immediate. If Republicans feel their existence is threatened, that's imaginary. Flying in a plane where the chances of danger are less than 1% and still feeling your life is being threatened is also imaginary. Those feelings may be real but they aren't based in reality. So the question is, why is their reality warped so much that their feelings don't sync with reality?

This is the point where, if @Moonbeam were here, he would tell you that we create what we fear.

Hey 2A supporters. The idiots in the OP are the real threat to your 2A rights. You might consider a bit more gun control to keep guns out of the hands of radicalized right wing terrorists.

I don't understand how those idiots don't realize that what they are doing is actually very un-American. They were going to overthrow the government that their fellow Americans elected. They were going to attack democracy. Can't they see the irony?

These look like perfect candidates for that "iffy" fridge at the fertility clinic that has trouble maintaining stable temperature.

I doubt they could spell the word irony, let alone understand what it is, or use it correctly. So no, they do not get the irony in their actions.

Huh-uhh! Democrats are cheaters who stole the election! Caravans of illegal voters & bus loads of antifas! Communists! Chemtrails! Jade Helm! Mind control nanobot vaccines! Benghazi!

They're fucked in the head by right wing psyops experts, foreign & domestic. It's been progressively done since Gingrich, at least, until my fellow Americans were finally soft enough in the head to elect Trump. Putin loves 'em all because they're tearing America apart. He loves all the fear mongering & shit talking from the NRA & every delusional "Patriot" mouthpiece in America.

Don’t hold your breath. He will ignore this and not answer even a direct question if asked.

Damn, look at all the water carriers in this thread. /s

Still waiting for Agent Orange to issue the "Stop standing by" order. Or they just missed it somewhere in the mad flurry of 50+ tweets yesterday.

It’s more agitprop than psyops. Social media gives these event fertile ground to grow and prosper. I know they were found on a Fadbook, but in the years past, these fools were neutered because it was very difficult for them to commingle and exchange “ideas.” Not they have a ready made system where they can create languages to hide what they are doing and use encryption software. The fabric that holds that together are the social media outlets which by the way are where the agitprop is bombarded on the weakest minds.
